Welcome to a New Season

Welcome to Castle Theatre’s 2025 Summer season.

It’s safe to say that we have had a very busy and successful start to 2025, our 30th year.

We definitely started as we mean to go on and introduced lots of new shows to the programming which saw very healthy numbers, generating new audience members and introducing new customers to Castle Theatre.

Where our 30th is concerned, we have thoroughly enjoyed every second of creating a new venture for Castle Theatre in the form of Castle Community Theatre Company and bringing Annie and community to the forefront of the celebrations, this is reinforced with the brand new Castle Community Choir, which has gotten off to a great start. For more information on Annie, see page 4.

With the 30th being mentioned, it is only right that this is reflected within the programming, and what we would normally see as a slower period in the Theatre world, we have made Summer busier than normal, bringing more diversity and debuts to the venue.

Coincidently Annie is our first offering this season celebrating the 30th anniversary, swiftly followed by something new, A Shoddy Detective, seeing more ‘Theatre’ within Theatre,

which is something we hope to build on in the future.

Other shows which are brand new to Castle Theatre this season see us introduce TaylorMania to the stage, The Roller Boys, The Sound of the Lioness, Tom Ball, Ahh… Freak Out! and Alex Kealy.

However, for those of you who have come to love our regular programming, we have kept our customer favourites from previous years including ELO Again, Scummy Mummies, The Ultimate Irish Hooley, Oh What a Night, The Simon & Garfunkel Story and The History of Rock which have proven very popular.

And don’t think we’ve forgotten the kids; as well as TaylorMania, this summer sees the return of In The Night Garden Live, Spot’s Birthday Party and Bing’s Birthday, it looks like we’re not the only ones celebrating!

With a busy summer headed our way, we’re excited to welcome you all to the venue and celebrate the 30th anniversary. It’s thanks to you, our audience members, that we continue to move forward in this ever changing climate.

Castle Theatre is operated by Parkwood Theatres working in partnership with North Northamptonshire Council
