Newsletter 2nd October 2026
Head’s Note Dear Parents, It was wonderful to see so many of you at our Harvest Service this morning. Harvest is always a special moment in the school year, giving us an opportunity to pause, reflect and be thankful. As the seasons change and autumn settles around us, it also reminds us to appreciate the simple things: time spent together, the beauty of the world around us and the many experiences that enrich our children’s lives. There has certainly been plenty to be thankful for at school this week. Year 6 have been exploring the River Allen in Wimborne, our U11 footballers travelled to Bedales for the ISFA tournament, a number of our senior pupils headed to Bryanston for the Mini United Nations, and our EYFS pupils headed down to watch the diggers and rollers working on the new road, such a great hands-on learning opportunity. Next week promises to be every bit as busy, with a number of sporting fixtures, the Geography Quiz at Canford and Year 4 heading to Kingston Lacy. What a wonderful time of year to be learning beyond the classroom and making the most of the world around us. Whatever your plans this weekend, I hope you find a moment to pause, step outside and enjoy the colours and beauty of autumn. And, of course, perhaps practise those best smiles ahead of school photo day on Thursday! Have a very happy weekend. Best wishes Katie
