TOP RIGHT: The Koenigsegg CC850 had no equal in the field of auto mechanics, with its unparalleled rate of motion and direction. In just a few moments 850 hp double turbo V8 motor was on speeds of 100 kmph. The car’s performance of the supercar segment made it the absolute best in this field. GT Spirit delivers the model in Moon Silver with black orange interior. RIGHT: The Mondeo ST220 from Ford was a masterpiece of performance living together with style in 2018. It seems everyone is improving their game recently and pretty soon we are going to have little petrol powered 1/64 cars driving around waiting for us to find the technology to shrink ourselves. SIKU have been improving their details and have built a stronger diecast 1/64 offering. And they have calculated correctly that children need to have their toys back.

Many mainstream brands have upped their details and offering to attract a newer older audience who have plenty of disposable income, BUT a lot of these older collectors also come with children, and we are starting to see many family fights in the toy shops and toy aisles of supermarkets. Saving families everywhere SIKU comes to the rescue. Licensed casting with decent details that won’t make you squeal in horror and perfect for the kids to start learning how to respect your collection. You can now buy them SIKU instead of chains and locks.

MUSTANG GT MUSTANG GT

Kicking things off on a scale of 1 to 10 looking at the details of the car we are going to give this one an acceptable score of about 4.8. Great for your kids or great for kicking off some customizing project. Impressive tampo’s on the front headlights, better than pre 2020 Hot wheels (no secret they have been upping their game since then). The body shape isn’t bad, basic, bad not bad. The wheel arches are well curved, and it isn’t covered in toxic paint from an unsafe factory that would stain a child’s tongue for life. It also has opening parts which is kind of cool and again works for those who like to do custom jobs.

SRT SRTChallenger Challenger

This is actually much cooler and for some reason ‘seems’ a bit better in terms of casting. Can’t get over the cool gloss purple paint job. Don’t forget these cars are retailing lower than your usual mainstream so they make for a good budget customization, or we repeat ‘little hands filler’ a good distraction away from your higher end 1/64’s. Surprisingly the undetailed grille holds a visible SRT logo matched with painted lights that lack detail but of course the bright green Hellcat on the side is undeniable. I’m not sure the overhead supercharger and the large ‘superbird’ wing were necessary add-ons personally we feel that the car was pretty up to standard without the embellishments and maybe added green to the aero parts instead.

CAMARO CAMARO

Usually, the underdog of modern muscle but here in the office SIKU has given the car a chance to shine. Tampo’d headlights, textured front grille and the Chevy logo in the centre is a good sign that there is a good future in SIKU. Basic body but out of the three cars we looked at, this one had the best wheels which were 5 spoke in black. Gloss black opening hood and tampo’d rear lights as well made this plain Jane the smartest looking out of the three. All three cars had tow hooks on the back and after having a car in real life with a tow hook at the back, I have grown to hate them and what they do to shins, so that is NOT a plus point for me.
