KRYPTONITE AND EUROPEAN TESTING Kryptonite expertly tests its locks with a variety of tools (bolt cutters, hack saws, hammers, prybars, grinders, hydraulic devices, etc.) and in a variety of ways many times over. This is not something that we take lightly and not something that we do just one time. These locks are continuously put through a barrage of tests, including all known methods used on the streets. We have even built equipment that far exceeds methods used on the streets. We also test with tools or devices that are not commonly available and are constantly analyzing data from customer returns and work with law enforcement agencies.

Kryptonite currently holds more than 65 approvals at Sold Secure (UK), ART (NL), N.F. (FRA), SSF (Sweden) and VAREFAKTA (Den). These independent testing agencies attacked the products with every bit of malice the testers could throw at them and they still held up. They were subjected to strict real world testing such as cutting, pulling, picking and attack tests. We hope this brings peace of mind to our customers; it does to us and we use the products every day ourselves.

WARRANTY INFORMATION KRYPTONITE LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY: Schlage Lock Company, LLC, through its Kryptonite division (the “Company”) extends a warranty against defects in material and workmanship to the original user of the products detailed below manufactured by the Company (the “Products”) beginning from the date of purchase by the original user.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED: The following costs, expense and damages are not covered by the provisions of these limited warranties: (i) back charges or labor costs including, but not limited to, such costs as the removal and reinstallation of the Product or for normal maintenance; (ii) shipping and freight expenses required to return the Product to Company; (iii) failures, defects, or damage (including, but not limited to, any security failure or loss of data) caused by any third party product, service, or system connected or used in conjunction with the Product; (iv) any other incidental, consequential, indirect, special and/or punitive damages, whether based on contract, warranty, tort (including, but not limited to, strict liability or negligence), patent infringement, or

otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages; or (vi) normal wear and tear.

THE PROVISIONS OF THESE LIMITED WARRANTIES DO NOT APPLY TO PRODUCTS: (i) used for purposes for which they are not designed or intended by the Company; (ii) which have been subjected to alteration, misuse, abuse, negligence, or accident; (iii) which have been improperly stored, installed, maintained, repaired or operated; (iv) which are not the proper size for the application, have been used in violation of written instructions provided by the Company, or have been installed with improper or incorrect parts; (v) which have been subjected to improper temperature, humidity, or other environmental conditions (i.e., corrosion, water damage); or (vi) which, based on the Company’s examination, do not disclose to the Company satisfactory nonconformance to these warranties. Additionally, the provisions of these limited warranties do not apply to batteries or to scratches, abrasions, or deterioration due to the use of paints, solvents, or other chemicals.

ADDITIONAL TERMS: The Company does not authorize any person to create for it any obligation or liability in connection with the Products. No other warranties, express or implied, are made to the Original User with respect to the Products including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

HOW LOCAL LAW APPLIES: This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights as otherwise permitted by law. If this product is considered a consumer product, please be advised that some local laws do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages or how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not fully apply. Refer to your local laws for your specific rights under this warranty.
