BACK TO NATURE
With 3.8 million square miles to explore it’s hard to choose. Here are some of our favourites Yosemite National Park in California with its towering cliffs and giant redwoods – you may even see some bears! The Coast of Maine with its endless forests, empty coves and beaches or New England with pretty houses and quaint villages especially beautiful in the Fall. Everglades National Park in the southern tip of Florida is another must see; the park consists of mangrove forests, sawgrass marshes and pine flatwoods and the park is home to leatherback turtles and the west Indian manatee. The Grand Canyon it stretches 277 miles through the Arizona desert a true natural wonder.
We recommend trendy Malibu for surfing – gorgeous beaches and one of the best surf locations on offer with an unspoilt stretch of coastline such as Suma Beach and Surf rider.
Jazz in New Orleans – another must, stroll along Bourbon Street and Frenchmans Street and tap your feet to the never ending impromptu bands that line every street corner get down deep in the music of the Mississippi.

One of our favourites is Kentucky’s Mammoth Cave located in the real heartland of the US and the world’s longest cave system – almost 400 miles of underground passageways have been explored – see stalactites and stalagmites and subterranean rivers on lantern lit cave tours.

The most scenic stretch is Big Sur Coast Highway, watch the waves thumping against the cliffs below, and see if you can spot some migrating whales.
