It’s no surprise that Dubai’s Intersec 2025 pushed the boundaries of what’s possible once again, but just how far did it go this time? In 2025, the event didn’t just set the stage — it redefined it, tearing it down to its foundations and rebuilding it into something entirely new and groundbreaking. Bringing together top global leaders and visionaries, Intersec became the ultimate platform for unveiling revolutionary solutions, sparking collaborations that will redefine the landscape of security, fire protection, and cybersecurity for years to come.

Intersec 2025, the world’s largest event dedicated to security, safety, and fire protection, achieved unprecedented milestones during its 26th edition. Hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from January 14 to 16, the event spanned an impressive 61,000 square meters, a 20% increase in size compared to the previous year. With over 1,200 exhibitors from 61 countries and more than 47,300 visitors representing 142 nations, it was a global hub for innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.

Under the theme “Mapping the Future of Security, Safety, and Fire Protection,” Intersec 2025 showcased next-gen technologies and critical solutions across five pivotal sectors: Commercial & Perimeter Security, Fire & Rescue, Safety & Health, Cyber Security, and Homeland Security & Policing. This creates inefficiencies and makes it difficult for operators to extract meaningful data. Suprema’s latest developments aim to bridge this gap by providing a unified security ecosystem.

Addressing Market Challenges Through Integration

Mohamed Shenawy, Managing Director of Suprema Middle East, highlighted this industry-wide challenge, stating that the main challenge is to unify everything and to get useful data for the operator. “If you look at a building with 300 cameras, 1,000 doors, and 100 time and atten-

dance devices, it’s too much to handle”, says Shenawy.

A key aspect of this approach is the ability to intelligently filter and prioritize security information. In a large facility with hundreds of cameras and access points, operators can be overwhelmed with data. Suprema is unveiling a new version of BioStar, its flagship access control, and time and attendance platform. The latest release introduces integrated video management software, enabling security operators to monitor live camera feeds directly from the system. Graphical mapping functions provide a visual representation of security infrastructure, while an advanced document reader allows users to enroll individuals using official iden-

tification such as passports or national IDs. By extracting a photo from an identity document and linking it to biometric authentication, the system ensures a seamless and secure access process. Suprema’s new BioStar iteration is designed to meet evolving market demands, supporting enterprise-level integration and expanding the company’s reach into new sectors.

New PoE CoreStation

Suprema is unveiling CoreStation 20P which features Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability. This PoE model, which has been highly requested by customers for years, provides more flexibility by allowing the controller to be powered through the same Ethernet cable. The CS20P joins the existing CS20 model, offering options for clients to choose between PoE-powered or traditional models based on their needs.

Another new product being introduced is the DI24, a two-door intelligent subcontroller. This subcontroller can be connected

to the main controller and, unlike the older DM20 model, retains full functionality even if the connection between the main controller and the subcontroller is lost, providing enhanced reliability and operational continuity.
