Awards Programme
Welcome to the BiKBBI Annual Installation Awards 2022 It is a great pleasure to welcome you all here this evening to this historic event in the heart of London. 2022 marks the sixteenth year since The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation launched, and what a sixteen years it’s been! We’ve grown from a simple concept to improve industry to an organisation that is leading positive change and building solid foundations for all of our futures. As one of three founders of BiKBBI, back in 2006, it gives me enormous pleasure and great pride to see what we’ve achieved over what is a relatively short time. Despite our multi-billion pound industry witnessing significant growth over the years, we still remain at the least glamorous end of the kbb journey, but very much on the front line and more recently, well within in the spotlight. Without the dedication of installation specialists throughout the industry, from leaders, to installation managers, to installers operating in customers’ homes over the last two years in particular, the industry would without doubt have grounded to a complete halt. As the world locked down under extraordinary circumstances, with many industry functions operating from home as instructed by Government, installation carried on and in the face of overwhelming danger. Tonight is in recognition of our sectors achievements and for the first time ever, rewards some of the amazing achievements of some of our industry’s most amazing people, businesses and brands.
It’s our night. Enjoy it – we deserve it.
Damian Walters, Chief Executive Officer The British Institute of KBB Installation
