The Wall Code

From the entryway, where we find the console by Studio Haus, on the left you enter the central space that includes the living area and the dining space with the kitchen area. From this area one can glimpse the ideology of the project, according to which a “wall” has the ability to do more than just being a space definer. In this case, the father of the couple has lost his eyesight and uses surfaces to identify his location or uses the wall as language to guide him walking through the living space to the entry door of the apartment. The wall also ensconces lights in its folds which are fabricated to the exact diameter it can hold. It additionally provides a feature of a planter box in metal, a drop down counter and storage. “The wall” architecturally is an integral element of a space and maximizing its potential is an endeavor in this project. The furniture has been exquisitely chosen from the international brands like the lovely curved sofa from Secolo, the dining table and chairs from Cattelan Italia while the sofas by Pinakin Design Studio have been refurbished. The carpets are from the Pure Concept Home and so are the cushions on the sofa. There is a bench made of metal from Formus that matches Flos' chandelier and light fitting. The red artwork and sculpture is from TARQ Art Gallery.

Further ahead from the living area is the den with a dark blue sofa from Ligne Roset and Hatsu's grey carpet. Here, as in the whole house, the designers have used very interesting marble flooring, highly patterned. While in the bathrooms, the marbles are quite exotic, accompanied by Kohler's bathroom fittings.

In the master bedroom, the atmosphere is sophisticated thanks to the bed linen from Yamini, styled by Samir Wadekar. On the opposite side of the bed, there is a small lounge area consisting of Ligne Roset couch by the light grey shades which stands out on the carpet from Bareeki. In addition to its irregular shapes, the carpet comes in two bright but also very elegant colors: light blue and pink which then match with the unusual purple ball cushion.

The kid's bedrooms have a sober design characterised by calm tones and well-kept furnishings, tailored to their needs. Also here, the walls are designed in a way that it incorporates all the elements like artwork, shelves, storage etc.
