Camp Echo
This camp offers a full schedule of exciting activities that will keep your child engaged all day long. The majority of the time is spent outdoors, where children can play, stay active, build independence, develop life skills, make new friends, and create lasting memories. In addition to arts and crafts, sports, and games, campers will have the chance to explore nature through fishing, hiking, and scavenger hunts. Weekly swim days and field trips are also part of the fun.
Our camp counselors are a mix of experienced and enthusiastic high school students, college students, and adults. They foster a non-competitive environment where kids can relax, have fun, and simply enjoy being kids. Many of our counselors have been with the Park District and camp program for several years.

Early Childhood Mini Camps: Big Fun for Little Explorers
While our beloved Sunshine Camp takes a brief pause this year to allow for wonderful ADA upgrades to our preschool facility, we’re thrilled to introduce Early Childhood Mini Camps—a perfect summertime experience for our youngest campers. Sunshine Camp will return in summer 2027, but in the meantime, these new Mini Camps promise just as much joy, discovery, and play.
Designed specifically for children ages 2½ to 4½ not entering kindergarten. Each three day session blends play based learning with sensory exploration and early social development. From hands on crafts and engaging sensory projects to lively games and gross motor play, children will enjoy a full variety of indoor and outdoor activities crafted to spark curiosity and build confidence.
Mini Camps meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road. 2½ to 3½ campers meet from 9:00-11:00a.m. and campers ages 3½ to 4½ meet from 12:00-2:00p.m.

Why Are We Using ePACT:
To Save You Time
Cary Park District is excited to announce the adoption of ePACT Network, a health and safety software to better support our summer day camp, Preschool, and ET KidZone families and make it easier to submit and update the required forms needed before your child begins the program.
Better Security and Privacy
With ePACT, you will only need to complete your child’s information once, and then verify that it is correct for additional programs or subsequent years. If you need to update something quickly, just log in, update it, and we’ll be notified immediately.
How ePACT Works
Receive the Request
Collecting information electronically eliminates the need for paper forms. ePACT’s high encryption levels and commitment to security means your data on ePACT is safer than on paper. ePACT allows us to limit and track access.
Once you register for either Camp ECHO, preschool. or ET KidZone you will receive an automated email with a link, within 24 hours, to the forms that are required. You will receive an e-mail with link for each child who is participating in camp. Click COMPLETE REQUEST to get started.
Create an Account
In order to complete the forms, you will need to create an account using the email address the invitation was received at. Add your name, choose a password, and accept the Terms and Conditions.
Getting Started
Read the instructions carefully. Click on Getting Started.
Follow the Steps
Answer the questions on each step. Those with an * are required. Ensure all steps have a checkmark.

If the second meeting of a program has passed, withdrawal requests will be considered on a prorated basis in addition to the $5 service charge. Refunds will not be issued after the third class meeting. Refer to withdrawal form for refund options.
Refunds will not be issued for one-day programs or events, sports leagues, tournaments or tickets to sports/entertainment/events or deposits for programs. Memberships, pool passes, Preschool, and ET KidZone withdrawals will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may require support documentation.
Comments Welcome
Visit carypark.com/rccms/contact-form to share your ideas with us.
Watch your email! Program and membership surveys are periodically sent throughout the year. When you receive one, please take a few moments to provide your feedback. This information will help guide us in the future. In the meantime, please make sure we have your correct email address on file.
Age Appropriateness
Ages and/or grades are listed with programs as guidelines for age-specific ability. The younger the participant, the more this guideline must be followed to ensure safety, enjoyment, and accomplishment. A birth certificate may be requested if doubt occurs concerning a participant’s age.
Behavior
Although the Park District realizes that inappropriate behavior may occur, the Park District reserves the right to suspend or remove participants from programs or facilities if hazardous, disruptive, and/or destructive behavior persists. If a participant is taken out of a program or removed from a facility due to these circumstances, a prorated refund will be issued for the remainder of the program or facility usage.
Minimum/Maximum
A minimum and maximum number of participants is set for each program. This is to ensure the best possible experience for each participant. The Park District may increase or reduce program size if necessary.
Photos and Videos
Photos and video footage are periodically taken of participants in a class, during a special event, or in the District’s parks and facilities. Please be aware that by registering for Park District programs and activities or by using the Park District’s parks and facilities you agree that any photograph or videotape taken by the Park District may be used by the District for promotional purposes including print and electronic media without further permission and without any compensation to you. All photos/videos are property of the Park District.
In Case of Oops!
During the course of Park District programs, there can be unforeseen circumstances that force the Park District to change schedules, instructors, combine or postpone programs, adjust facility usage or modify fees. The Park District makes every effort to ensure that the information presented in this brochure is complete and accurate; however, sometimes errors do occur and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
Insurance
The Park District does not carry medical or accident insurance for program or facility participants. The cost would make program fees prohibitive. Please review your own personal health insurance plan to be certain that you and your family have the proper coverage.
Policies, Procedures and Guidelines:
Additional Park District policies, procedures and guidelines are available for review at the Cary Park District Community Center.
A Note of Thanks
Thank you to School Districts 155, 26 and 3 for providing facilities in which to hold recreational programs; to Park District Commissioners, volunteers, and staff who devote so much of their time; and to you, the community, for your support.
Registration Information
Fees
Resident/Non-resident - The first program fees listed in the brochure are for Cary Park District residents. Non-resident (NR) fees are listed second and are the higher rate of the two. Residents support the Park District through tax dollars, while non-residents pay to participate through higher registration fees. All account balances must be paid in full before registering for new programs.
Fair Share
Those desiring to achieve resident status may pay their “fair share” of taxes based on the taxable value of their home. This entitles an individual to pay in-district fees and register for programs at the same time as residents. Fair share will be applied over a 12-month period. Some exceptions apply, please refer to the Fair Share Guidelines found in the Forms section of carypark.com.
The taxable value of a property is stated clearly on the tax bill. Fair share in not necessarily for everyone. This has to be determined by you, taking into consideration the frequency of Park District use and the value of your home.
The inquiring individual should provide a copy of their current tax bill to the Superintendent of Recreation for review. The Fair Share amount will be calculated and a written reply will be sent. If you don’t have a copy of your current tax bill, call your taxing township for your home’s taxable value.
Waiver of Fees
