RAISE YOUR PADDLE FOR SUMMER CAMP! No need to lose the bidding war for this offering! Help Carver kids win by giving them a summer that will set them on the path of success! Our goal is to raise as much as $100,000 for Carver summer learning programs for more than 600 children and youth this summer. These programs include Summer Enrichment (5- to 13-year-old students from the Carver Community Center and Columbus Magnet School); Freshman Summer Success Academies for graduated 8th-grade students transitioning into 9th grade at Norwalk and Brien McMahon High Schools; and a summer learning program for 5th-grade students transitioning into middle school. Programming led by certified teachers and other well-trained summer staff provides project-based and personalized learning complemented by exciting field trips and many program partners.
