performer biographies Adrianna Jones Adrianna graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre from The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in 2014. Soon after, she relocated to LA where she lived and worked for 3+ years, performing, running marathons, and soaking up the sun. The next big change came when she booked her first cruise contract with Norwegian Cruise Lines. She made her cruise ship debut as Urleen in their production of “Footloose” and also served as the Vocal Captain for the show. She had just started her second cruise contract with Norwegian when the global pandemic completely changed her plans. She’s played many roles since the start of the pandemic, substitute teacher, home improvement supervisor, and park ranger, to name a few. Needless to say, she’s very excited to be pursuing her Master of Music here at Carthage and to get back to her first love, singing.

Rachel Page Rachel is returning to Carthage after getting her undergraduate degree in Music Theatre. Since graduating, Rachel has been fortunate enough to work and play all over the world, including two contracts with Second City on Norwegian Cruise Line, as a program director for Kwan Kwan Theatre School in Jinan, China,

performer biographies and workshopping her original musical in Barcelona, Spain. Rachel is certified as an Estill Master Trainer and has her own vocal studio in Chicago. She is the co-founder of moxie productions with her artistic partner Lindsay Bartlette Allen, and together, they are finishing their first musical Someone You Know. Ask her about it!

When she’s not behind a piano or stuck at home, Rachel unapologetically loves Orange Theory, reading, traveling the globe, and making friends with strangers.

Genevieve Clements Genevieve Clements has been a performer since the age of 5.

After graduating summa cum laude with Bachelor’s of Music in Classical Voice Performance from the Hartt School, she became a full-time voice and piano teacher around the state of Connecticut.

Highly sought after as a teacher, music director, and choral singer, she maintains a busy schedule filled with music of all different styles including classical, musical theatre, jazz, pop, and rock. Genny is accredited as a voice teacher through the International Voice Teachers of Mix (IVTOM), has served as Music Director for over 25 cabarets and musicals over the past 5 years, and is a member of VOCE Inc., New England’s Chamber Choir. When not singing, she enjoys reading, knitting, and trying out new recipes in her kitchen! She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Music Theatre Vocal Pedagogy at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Yu-Mei Chang Yu-Mei Chang (May) is a music director and keyboard player who active around on theatre stages in Taiwan and Mainland China.

After graduated from Taipei National University of the Art, May started her career as an assistant, and then became to a famous music director both in China and Taiwan. She is best known for her music direction of the musical theatre in Mandarin productions, such as Avenue Q (2013-2014), How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying (2015), Daddy Long Legs (2018), Murder Ballad (2017-2019), I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (2021), Laundry (South Korea, 2015), Midnight Diner (South Korea, 2018), etc. As a keyboard player, May participated in Mamma Mia! (the Mandarin production, 2013-2014), Thrill Me (the Mandarin production, 2016), Jekyll and Hyde (the Mandarin production, 2017), and The Phantom of the Opera international tour (Guangzhou & Beijing, 2015-2016; Taipei, 2020), etc.

Katie Engler Katie Engler is an up-and-coming Chicago musical theatre artist who recently earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Columbia College Chicago. Born and bred in the Windy City, some previous performance credits include Urinetown (Columbia College Chicago), The Beautiful City Project’s Top 100, and The Marvelous Wonderettes (Carthage College). Katie has been fortunate enough to have dipped her toes in the LA/Boston theatre scenes as well, and has toured extensively throughout China as a performer and choreographer, partnering with various

Her lifelong crush on Gene Kelly has inspired her to pursue a career in one of the craziest, most rewarding fields, and she is proud to say that she is responsible for a large majority of the views on YouTube’s “Moses Supposes” video. Brianna Borger Brianna Borger earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University. She has been a professional singer and actor for over 20 years, with 15 of those spent in Chicago. She toured internationally as Anna in The King & I and her stage roles have included Lucille Frank in Parade, the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Lily in The Secret Garden, and Petra in A Little Night Music. She is also a sought-after director and performance coordinator, and runs a private voice studio in Evanston, Illinois, where she specializes in teaching song interpretation and musical theatre audition technique. Brianna and her husband also own Painted Porch Fitness, which provides online workout programming for individuals of all levels and abilities. She is mom to an 8 year old boy and a 2 year old pitbull, an avid chef and baker, and a big believer in helping others and doing what makes you happy.

Ryan Cappleman Ryan Cappleman is a performer, choreographer, musician, and teaching artist based in Milwaukee. He graduated from Milwaukee High School of the Arts as a piano major, and received his BFA in Inter-Arts Musical Theater Performance from UW Milwaukee. Since then, he has gone on to perform critically acclaimed roles all over Wisconsin and beyond, won awards for his choreography (both on the professional stage and celebrating high school musical theater), performed with grammy award winning singers, and taught all over the country. He is a proud dog dad to Dolly, the black mouth cur, the love of his life.

Sasha Divain Sasha Divain is a vocal and voice coach, Vocal Rehabilitation Specialist, Estill Master Trainer, organizer and translator (English/ Russian/Ukrainian) of Estill Voice Trainings and other voice workshops, director of the first LGBTQ-friendly voice studio in Ukraine, president of the International Association of Teachers of Singing - IATS (first Russian speaking association), winner and member of the jury of international singing competitions.

She studied and had internships in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Greece, and the USA. For the last 12 months, she has been a trainer for more than 40 Estill workshops and courses. As an instructor of IATS, she leads 10 Refresher courses for teachers of singing per year.

performer biographies ogy together with famous Ukrainian Dr. Tetiana Volkova. Together with the Association of Phoniatrics and Audiologists, she founded a new profession and study course in Ukraine and Russia - Vocal Rehabilitation Specialist (VRS).

Kevin Wehrhahn Kevin has worked as a performer with several theatre companies including the Centenary Stage Company, Mayo Performing Arts Center, Tabletop Broadway, Jest Murder Mystery Company, and College Light Opera Company. Favorite credits include the Beast in Beauty and the Beast, Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, and featured ensemble in Les Miserables. Kevin is one of the cowboys at the historic Wild West City theme park in Netcong, New Jersey, and is an Equity Membership Candidate with the Actor’s Equity Association. Kevin has also worked as both a stage and music director on productions of Blood Wedding, The Ghost Train, and High School Musical. He produced and sang on two albums with the collegiate a cappella group Smooth Progressions while studying Voice and Arts Administration at Elon University, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2019 with minors in Theatre Arts and Political Science.

Lydia Wagner When she’s not onstage, you can probably find Lydia dancing in her kitchen, crying in art museums, or curled up with a good memoir. She believes in trauma-informed theatre making, and creating work that questions norms and inspires laughter. She wants to be a part of this work from onstage and off.

Her favorite ways to work towards this goal are in the co-founding and production of her monthly concert series Open Pages, and in working with the Spotlight Education Program. Additionally, she is a freelance audition coach, helping artists build better audition books and practices.

Lydia is from Minneapolis, MN. Favorite roles include: Rocky Horror Show (Magenta), Company (Sarah), A Little Night Music (ASM), and RENT (Ensemble, u/s Maureen). She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre with a minor in Stage Management from Oklahoma City University. lydia-wagner.com Fangyiduo Wang Fangyiduo Wang (Flower) attended the Beijing Dance Academy for ten years and received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Theatre.

She performed roles such as Olive in “Bullets over Broadway” and Heidi in “Dear Evan Hansen.” She also performed in the Chinese original shows “Welcome” and “Romance of the Western Chamber.” She loves to try new things in fields that require body awareness such as Pilates, Yoga, Contemporary, Jazz, Music Theatre, and street dance.

When Flower performs she strives to connect with her audience in such a way that they might be healed through the power of art. Her goal is not to showcase her own talents but rather to show how the performance arts have the ability to give people a look into their own humanity.

Jay Zamora Jay Zamora has recently graduated from UW-Green Bay, with a BA in music, emphasis on performance (2020). His musical theatre and opera credits include Sgt. Stevens in Dogfight, Enjolras in Les Miserables, Charles Clarke in Titanic the Musical, an ensemble member in Spamalot, an ensemble member in Phantom of the Opera, and scenes from Dido and Aenas, Dudley in Little Red’s Most Unusual Day, and an ensemble member in Marriage of Figaro. His favorite composers are stereotypical, consisting of Chopin, Mahler, Hans Zimmer, Eric Whitacre, and Jake Runestead, however, according to Spotify, four of five of his top played songs in 2020 came from the musical Hamilton. Jay is married to his high school sweetheart, Sheridan, who teaches Special Ed at Jeffrey Elementary School.

The two welcomed their first born, Charles, in April and also have a hedgehog, Jellybean.

Mireya Magallon Mireya is a recent Carthage undergraduate of 2020 in Music Theatre. Through her years before Carthage and during, she has spent time engaging in her community programs for children which includes; teaching sports, cooking and her favorite subject singing! She is a part time teacher at Brookfield Center for the Arts but also spends her time performing with various groups in Milwaukee as well as a variety of roles here at Carthage. Due to the road block that the pandemic created in performance she decided to come back to Carthage to better herself as not only a performer but also a teacher. She learned so much in her undergrad that she cannot wait to dive in deeper into the world of voice with this wonderful program. She would like to thank her professors, especially Corinne for creating such a wonderful program, and her family for supporting her through it all.

Chris Gallego Chris Gallego is a voice teacher from New Jersey that has worked in the a cappella, alt rock/indie, and musical theater worlds. She graduated from The Ramapo College of New Jersey with a BA in Theater and went on to direct multiple post-collegiate a cappella groups and begin her career as a voice teacher.
