biographies nicholas huff ‘15 Tenor, Nicholas Huff’s powerful, honest take on classic operas has led him to leading roles across North America. He has performed with the Carthage Student Opera, Eastman Opera Theater, La Coperacha Puppets, Toronto Summer Opera Workshop, Rochester Lyric Opera, Florentine Opera (MKE), Merola Opera Program (SF), and Florida Grand OPERA (MIA). He has performed as Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Lucano (Il coronazione di Poppea), Joseph Treat (Mrs. President), Peter Quint (Turn of The Screw), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), created the role of Fabian Hart in Jake Heggie’s newest Opera, If I Were You, and just finished a successful run as Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Florida Grand Opera. Mr. Huff has concertized widely, singing Mozart’s Requiem with the New York State Ballet, Mozart’s Missa Solemnis, Rutter’s Psalmfest, Britten’s Rejoice in The Lamb, aria soloist with Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Florentine Opera, as well as perform Handel’s Messiah with the Waukegan Symphony Orchestra and, here at Fine Arts at First of Kenosha, has been pleased to be soloist for the last 5 years. Nicholas attended Carthage College where he earned his BA in Vocal Performance, and the Eastman School of Music, where he took an MM in Vocal Performance and Literature.

biographies david godbold ‘16 Musician and composer, David Godbold, graduated from Carthage College in Music Education. He was an active thespian in the theatre program, and spent his college career as a member of Wind Orchestra, and two years in choir. His was a founding member of the Carthage ALLIES organization, and was also a leader in the student composers group, Obbligato. He later received his Master in Special Education from Grand Canyon University.

David is currently the classroom music teacher at Glen Flora Elementary School, and has also been involved in community music programs such as BRAVO Waukegan and the Waukegan Community Band. His community engagement is further evidenced with the Flowering Tree on the Back of the Great Turtle project.

When he isn’t working, David enjoys hydroponics and gardening.
