It offers students the opportunity to explore and develop their vocal talents in a group setting. High school choirs often perform a wide range of repertoire, including classical, contemporary, sacred, and secular music.

In the heart of our bustling high school, amidst the cacophony of daily life, there exists a harmonious sanctuary where voices blend, melodies soar, and unity finds its voice. This haven of musical excellence is none other than our very own high school choir.

Led by the talented and dedicated Choir Director Mr. Ethley, the high school choir has become a symbol of diversity, camaraderie, and artistic prowess within our school community. With students hailing from all walks of life, backgrounds, and experiences, the choir transcends boundaries, bringing together individuals with a shared passion for music. What makes our choir truly special is its commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Here, students of varying vocal abilities and musical backgrounds come together to create something beautiful, each voice adding its unique hue to the tapestry of sound. From the seasoned soloists to the shy newcomers finding their voice for the first time, every member is valued and encouraged to shine.

My Resting Inspiration

In a world where we’ve never met, Yet your essence lingers and I’m beset. For I’ve seen your form, pure, and divine, Heard your voice, a melody so fine.

Like the mighty waves on golden sand, Your angelic voice is a treasure so grand. High tides, untamed, none can reach, As you rest in a place so prestigious, beseech.

Your beauty transcends the realms of Earth, A soul so untainted, of immeasurable worth. Your spirit, vibrant and ever upbeat, A mystery veiled in shadows, discreet.

Through the years, your countenance remains, Frozen in fleeting moments, it contains. No matter the condition, I find you there, In my heart, in peace beyond compare.

My Resting Inspiration

You elevate me to heights unknown, Beyond recognition, in a realm I’m shown. Not heaven, perhaps, but a celestial domain, Where your angelic voice ascends above the mundane.

A light so bright, you’ve witnessed terror, Yet your soul, too pure, for us to bear. We took you for granted, oh, what a plight, A light engulfed in darkness, a star in the night.

Your departure, tragic, and abrupt, Leaving bruises on hearts, deeply rut. In a time of new beginnings, hope anew, Like a shooting star, an influence for a few.

Soaring higher than the rest, you fly, Leaving behind a legacy, an artistic sigh. As you rest, fires still burn within my core, But your soothing vocals, they calm and restore.

My Resting Inspiration

Yet when reality comes knocking at my door, The burning persists, filling me once more. Through the smoke, I’ll wipe my tears away, For there you’ll stand, a guiding light, I pray.

Like a person in need, Escaping thoughts, darkness in deed. Who am I? What have I become? A hollow shell, numb and undone.

But in your presence, a glimmer I find, A beacon of hope in a world unkind. Though I may be hollow, empty as a shell, Your memory ignites my soul from it spell.

On April 11, 2024 the Carter Cowboy Company performed their final performance of their award winning Regional Champion UIL Competition Show byRichardWeaverentitled“AndJackFellDown.”

The show takes a boy puppet by the name of Jack who represents being controlled by the Professor and the rebels.

The girl puppet whose name is Jill protests that puppets can’t live without a guiding hand.

Jack tries to convince Jill that they could cut their strings and be free together, but is that true? Can they live and survive without the hands that leads them?
