The D - League basketball program provides training and development for Special Olympic Athletes across several school campuses here in the Dallas Independent School District. We are so proud to have a D-League Basketball Team here at David W. Carter High School. Our team members and coaches work hard and they play hard. Every year our Basketball Team participates in the tournament. This year we are so excited to say that we won our game.
Our team players are very diverse. They play their positions and play them well. Let’s meet our team. First there’s the really cool and talented point guard Bryan Land. Next we have the awesome Taylor Ellis. Then there’s our center Damaka Patterson. He plays excellent defense. Cameron Anderson has the skills to move on to the next level in basketball. Isaiah Anthony is for sure the heart of the team. Finally, the person that keeps everyone together is none other than the talented Kaylee Michell. The DLeague Team is led by Coach Rachel Ingram, Coach Deborah Jackson, and Coach Babcock. When you see these players on campus, be sure to speak to them and tell them how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication to the sport of basketball.
