The David W. Carter boys basketball freshman team defeated the Kimball Knights in the District’s Championship with a 21 point margin. The score of the game was 71-50. Everyone on the team contributed with points, rebounds, assists, and energy. Varsity and junior varsity came to support the team on their run throughout the season The boys basketball freshman team went undefeated for the season. Amazingandgreatjob!
The boys overcame many injuries and difficulties while stillbeingundefeated Twoof the players had surgeries within a month of their first game These boys had to workevenhardertoadjustto the circumstances of their teamandplayers. Thiswould not have been possible without the support and discipline given by our team, andallthreecoaches.Coach
Love helped with discipline and encouragement leading the boys to have an amazing season. Coach Von Harris and Coach Brandon Lewis helped ensure the boys remained student - athletes by making sure they stayed on top of their grades and being respectful players. Overall, the team had an outstanding season and are looking forwardtonextseason.

Black History Month is an annual observance of African American History in the United States and Canada. Both the governments in the United States and Canada recognize and observe Black History Month. Recently, BlackHistoryhasbeenobservedinIrelandandtheUnited Kingdom.
InourBiologyclasswedidlearnaboutDr.VivienThomas. He suffered a loft of adversity but eventually he was awarded a Doctoral Degree for developing a procedure used to treat blue baby syndrome. He was very instrumentalinpushingourunderstandingofsciencethe circulatorysystemtoanewlevel.ThankyouMr.McKenzie for presenting this lesson to us as we continue to explore the animal kingdom.
