Directions rom the car park join a footpath that follows the lane towards the hamlet.
turn left and then turn right through a metal gate on a rough track alongside allotments. This leads to Hill Top and then continues downhill to Winewall passing the Cotton Tree Public House into Cotton Tree itself.
After 300m where the road bends to the left turn right over a stile close to a large beech tree.
After crossing a narrow road bridge turn right into Ball Grove Picnic site.
Follow waymark posts across fields to a stile next to a gate.
Follow the track past the children's play area.
Across this turn right onto a farm lane and soon after branch off right onto a footpath initially leading up a flight of steps.
Beyond a small lake on the left continue to a white cottage.
The path leads up alongside a mixed plantation of trees to reach a stone stile.
Immediately after it turn left through a low stone squeeze stile.
From here keep straight ahead on the footpath until you arrive at the farmstead of Little Laith just under 1000m away.
Following a path leading right and then as it enters woods turning left. After a broken wall turn right uphill at a point where 3 paths converge. This leads to a stone stile and Keighley Road.
At Little Laith turn right just beyond the house and follow a gravelly track through a metal gate onto a footpath.
Cross the road to a footpath and follow this uphill across to fields to reach a lane.
With the fence on your right walk down to a small wooden gate and then continue alongside a small brook at first to its left and then near a wall corner to its right.
Turn right. After 200m when the lane turns left keep ahead over a stile and continue to a large property. Bear left passing close to a trig point.
A stone stile next to a gate crosses to a farm track leading down to Higher Stunstead.
At the next wall cross a stile turn left to quickly reach a lane.
Keep ahead with the wall on your right until you have crossed High Laith Beck
At the farm turn left through rather forbidding metal railings to cross the farm yard and walk down the track 150m.
Follow the lane to the right past the inn and after the first junction turn left on a private road towards Flass Cottage.
and then turn right onto the Pendle Way.
Close to Stunstead farm turn right over a wooden stile and cross a large field with fine views over Trawden on your left.
Keep ahead through a small wooden gate and then after a walkway on the left cross a wooden bridge. With a wall on your right continue to the next stile cross it and then bear right.
After a stone stile drops you onto a lane
This long distance path will lead you all the way back to Wycoller.
