After participating in a “Dancing With the Stars”style charity event a few years ago, Dr. Kristina Ropella got hooked. So she signed up for dance lessons. At the studio, she found a group of people that wouldn’t seem particularly out of place in her day job as dean of Marquette’s Opus College of Engineering. “There are people in the studio from Harley, from Rexnord, from JCI – all kinds of people who come to enjoy something different,” Ropella says. “It’s our tech scene coming together around things that aren’t normally considered tech.”
