YOUR LAWN

Lawn care season begins in March, making it the ideal time for weed control and fertilization. This helps build strong roots and prevent weeds like crabgrass. It may feel overwhelming, but starting early makes a big difference. Not sure where to begin?

Here are a few things to focus on this month: Get rid of any winter damage. You should take off everything that is covering your grass, such as branches, leaves, mud, etc.

Even if your lawn hasn't yet begun to grow, these weeds and branches will soon start taking advantage of a thin lawn. They must be taken away.

Remove any lingering winter debris such as branches, leaves, and mud to give your lawn a clean start. Even if your grass hasn’t begun growing yet, weeds and excess debris can quickly take over sparse areas. Clearing it now sets the stage for healthy, even growth.

Aerate. If you have warm-season grass like Bermuda, zoysia, or St. Augustine, early spring is the ideal time to aerate.

This marks the start of your lawn care season and helps create the foundation for strong, healthy growth.

Mowing. Your lawn may not need cutting just yet since it hasn’t fully started growing for the season. However, if it looks ready, keep it light—only trim a small amount off the top to avoid stressing the grass.

Spring in your Step

If the rising temperatures are giving you spring fever, you’re not alone—we’re just as excited for the longer, warmer days ahead.

Clean the Gutters Prepare your home for spring showers by clearing out leaves, pine needles, and any built-up debris. Clogged gutters and downspouts can lead to overflow, potentially damaging your siding and foundation.

AC Condenser Maintenance Remove dust and debris from your outdoor condenser unit (the large metal box outside) to help your AC run efficiently as temperatures rise.

Refresh the Siding Wash away dirt and buildup to prevent mildew and extend the life of your siding. It also gives your home a clean, refreshed look for the season.

Seal Windows and Doors Inspect caulking around windows, doors, and trim for any cracks or damage from winter. Resealing helps prevent water intrusion and avoids costly repairs down the line.
