GENERAL MANAGER UPDATE FROM DAVID NORTH Two main questions seem to be on everyone's mind right now: "When will the ice be ready?" and "Have I made my holiday reservations yet?" Let's start with the ice. Our goal is to have members skating by Thanksgiving, with ice-making expected to begin around the second week of November. If I could pick the date myself, we'd be lacing up our skates early November. Unfortunately, Mother Nature gets the final say. As much as I would have loved to have the rink ready by Halloween, that's one of the unique challenges, and charms, of having an outdoor ice rink. While the ice will soon be in place, that doesn't mean every part of the project is completely finished. We still have a few final items to wrap up, including the potential addition of a structure over the player benches next spring. That said, once the rink is up and running, we can proudly add another major improvement project to the long list of investments made in The Carriage Club. This has been a lengthy process, and I want to sincerely thank everyone for their patience and support along the way. I know the construction and temporary closure of the lower lot entrance have caused some inconvenience and frustration at times, and we truly appreciate your understanding as we worked through it. We're excited to get the season underway and look forward to a fantastic year of hockey and figure skating. Thank you again for your patience and support as we bring this project across the finish line. So, what's next for the Club? A popular question but not top two… As we near completion of the rink project, attention is already turning to future improvements. The pool, patio areas, and Clubhouse dining and banquet spaces continue to be areas of focus, and we'll carefully evaluate priorities, member feedback, and costs as we plan for the future. Membership remains steady at around 670 members. The Board continues to monitor growth and may consider a waitlist as we approach 685 members. It's a positive position for the Club, and our priority remains balancing growth with member satisfaction. Now, for the second question: have you made your holiday reservations? As I write this, reservations for our holiday events are open, and several Santa Brunch seatings are completely booked. Before Halloween! I'm not sure when we all started planning for Christmas before handing out the last piece of Halloween candy, but that's clearly the world we live in today. If you have favorite holiday traditions at The Carriage Club, I encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible. Many of these events fill quickly, and we would hate for anyone to miss out. One of my personal favorites is the Classic Carriage Cocktail Party on Dec 1st. It captures the spirit of the season and the friendships that make our Club feel like home. The Holiday Season is one of the busiest and most special times of the year at The Carriage Club, so don't wait too long to secure your spot for the holiday events. We look forward to celebrating with you and your family in the weeks ahead. See you at the Club!

CLUB PRESIDENT UPDATE FROM JUSTIN BEGNAUD Figure skating and hockey season are upon us. Construction on our new ice rink has been completed, the new scoreboard & dasher boards installed, rubber floor matting around the rink is now in place, new furniture outside of the warming room will arrive soon, and our new condenser and chiller units are fully operational. All systems are a go for another exciting ice season! Be on the lookout for a fun gathering to commemorate the grand (re)opening of our new ice rink! This new rink will be the 4th installment of an outdoor ice rink at The Carriage Club, dating back to 1966. Outdoor ice skating is a privilege our members have enjoyed for decades, and makes our club stand out from the rest. I have enclosed a fun, historical photo from the 1920s taken at the frozen pond in Loose Park. Albeit back then, the park was actually Kansas City Country Club. November also means Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for here at The Carriage Club. I am thankful for our hardworking staff. I am thankful for our world-class facilities, and our warm and welcoming membership. And I am especially thankful for my family, and for all our new and old friends here at the Club. On the following pages, you will notice some new families who recently joined our membership, with many more on the horizon. If you see any new members, please be sure to give them a warm welcome. I know they will be thankful. Thank you all for being a part of our wonderful Carriage Club family! Our family looks forward to seeing you all at the Club, and on the Ice!

See ya at the Club! Justin R. Begnaud

Dear Carriage Club Members, October flew by! It has been wonderful to see everyone enjoying the new menus in the Coach House and Main Dining Room. Our culinary team has been working hard to bring you seasonal dishes featuring the highest-quality ingredients, and we appreciate your enthusiasm and feedback. On November 3, we will introduce even more new items in the Coach House as we gear up for ice season! We look forward to welcoming you and your families for a delicious meal during this busy and exciting time at the club. Part of our commitment to quality is choosing suppliers who share our standards. We proudly source seafood from Wulf’s Fish in Boston, a company with deep roots on the historic Boston Fish Pier. Their close relationships with fishermen and dedication to carefully selected seafood make them an outstanding partner in bringing exceptional fish and shellfish to your table. Please join us for Prime Rib Night on November 13 and Lobster Night on November 27. With Thanksgiving falling during lobster week, all lobster orders must be placed by Monday, November 23, so we can coordinate our holiday deliveries. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so please be sure to get your Thanksgiving Thanksgiving to-go orders in as well! We would love the opportunity to help your holiday run smoothly with a delicious meal prepared by our culinary team, giving you more time to enjoy the day with family and friends. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you around the club! James Storm Jr., CEC Executive Chef Carriage Club Kansas City
