SULLIVAN HILLS CAMP 2013 888-656-6254

Greetings from Sullivan Hills Camp! I hope you are ready for a summer full of growth, love, friendship and FUN! Whether you have been coming to camp for years, or if this will be your first summer, you are in for a memorable and exciting experience! Sullivan Hills Camp is a place set apart in God’s beautiful creation where youth and adults can come to grow spiritually and emotionally. Through trying new things, exploring creation, forming new friendships, and having one on one time with God, you will gain confidence and independence and learn what your God-given gifts are. We offer summer programs for all ages – find the right one(s) for your family and give us the honor of being a part of your journey of faith. The 2013 summer theme is “Faith Alive!,” focusing on 1 Cor. 16:14, “Let all that you do be done in love.” We will spend our time together focusing on how we can make our faith dance in ways it never has before! Martin Luther says, “Faith is a living, busy, active, mighty thing.” This summer, we will learn ways to make our faith come ALIVE, so we can go out into our world and be active disciples, sharing God’s love wherever we go! No matter how many times you’ve been to camp, new and amazing things are waiting for you. New friends, new activities, new ideas and a new, living, dancing faith in our God!

Each year Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries hires more than 65 college-age adults for a summer of learning, growing, fun, challenge, and friendship to be our Summer Ministry Team. Staff participate in ten days of extensive training to learn about Lutheran theology, safety, Bible study, teaching techniques, age characteristics, age-appropriate camp activities and all the ins and outs of camp life. The Summer Ministry Team then spends their summer caring for campers, sharing their faith and gaining valuable life skills at multiple sites across Nebraska.

Rules for acceptance and participation in the program are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, disability, age or sex. Any person who believes he or she has been discriminated against in this program should write to: Administrator, Food and Consumer Service, 3101 Park Center Drive, Alexandria, VA 22302.

Sullivan Hills has its own below-ground storm shelter. During times of inclement weather, NLOM staff monitor weather conditions at all times. We move campers to the storm shelter when weather threatens.

Sullivan Hills Camp’s policy is that no child will be turned away because of the inability to pay their camp tuition. If your child(ren) need a partial or full camp scholarship, please call Mary Bower toll free 1-888-656-6254.

Contact us if the camper has specific needs such as hearing or visual impairments, learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, physical/ behavioral challenges, emotional concerns or special medical considerations. There may be individuals we cannot accommodate because of site or facility limitations or individual needs that are beyond our scope of care.
