David has been a specialist Employment Lawyer since 2009. David has a particular interest in the complexity of TUPE &Working Time cases. These are complex and technical areas of law to which common questions of “fairness” very rarely apply. He says, “To effectively fight for people’s rights in these areas, our clients need expert advice from dedicated professionals with a detailed understanding of fast moving case law. That is what they get with Thompsons.”

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
We will obtain as much information about your claim as possible and use that information to intimate a claim if we consider another party to have been responsible for causing your injury. We must be able to prove that the incident occurred, that it occurred as a result of negligence, and that you sustained injury directly as a result of that negligence. The other side will be given time to investigate and respond and depending on their response, your case will either proceed to settlement or we will assess the strength of your case and the prospects of success in Court.
HOW LONG WILL MY CASE TAKE?
Every case is different and each is likely to last many months. We will be able to give you an idea of the various stages of your case and any time frames that are in place after a full investigation of your claim is completed.
WILL I NEED TO GO TO COURT?
The vast majority of cases settle outside of Court. Your case may go to Court if your solicitor believes there to be reasonable prospects of success and the other side are not settling the case. We will keep you up to date as the case progresses and advise whether they consider this step necessary. We will progress your case with your interests in mind and provide updates at each stage.
HOW MUCH COMPENSATION WILL I GET?
If your case is successful, then the amount of compensation you receive is measured against the injuries and losses you incurred, as opposed to being measured against the negligence. Therefore, it is important that you advise is of any physical, psychological and financial losses you have incurred directly as a result of the incident, as well as any assistance you required.
