2025 HIGHLIGH

Storm Response & In the Fall of 2024, Hurricane Helene caused extensive destruction and service interruptions across more than 80% of our grid. Power was restored to all members within a few weeks, but the cooperative continued addressing storm impacts into 2025. Restoring power in our service area creates unique challenges, as much of our infrastructure is in remote mountain terrain inaccessible by vehicle. This required additional work to fortify infrastructure during winter and spring 2025.
