March 31 deadline approaches for Winter Bill Financial Assistance

Eligible member-owners seeking assistance with their winter bill can apply for funding through the North Carolina Low Income Energy Assistance Program through March 31. Commonly referred to as “LIEAP,” this program helps residents pay a portion of their electric bills.

Please be advised that households must meet the following criteria to be eligible: è Have at least one U.S. citizen or non-citizen who meets the eligibility criteria. è Meet an income test. è Have reserves at or below $2,250. è Be responsible for its heating costs.
