DIPLOMA OF INTERIOR DESIGN
Carol has an outspoken career history in business administration, project management and sales.
She has always possessed a strong creative flair and keen eye for detail.
She is excited to follow her true calling in life as an interior designer.
65 year-old Stuart and 59 year-old Jane Durack are part of the, ‘Boomer’ generation, (those born before 1961). They are now ready to step down from fulltime work, leave their busy lives in the suburbs and downsize to the inner west to refresh for the next chapter together.
Stuart has worked all around the world as a lighting designer for both film, and TV, and will continue to work with a few clients remotely from home. He likes to keep fit and regularly jogs at Sydney Park. Jane has enjoyed travelling in her youth and met Stuart in India, her spiritual home. They both love going back to India whenever they can.
After years of working in advertising and raising two daughters, Jane is committed to artistic pursuits and is sensitive to protecting the environment. They often look after, and accommodate overnight, their three year old grandson Oliver. They also often accommodate international guests.

Living and Dine
George Street, Redfern, is morphing into an edgier and more colourful version of its northern neighbour, Surry Hills.
The warehouse in 82-84 George st has recently been leased by your client. The new commercial furniture tenants (your client) would like to transform the ground floor space into a showcase of local and international design products from around the globe. The exhibition stand concept you designed is to be housed in the showroom space.
The client has asked that the aesthetic approach to the warehouse space mixes industrial style with functionality and a relatively neutral backdrop so that the focus remains on the furniture and lighting on display. There should be a delicate balance between the raw warehouse envelope and the refined and polished insertion of the objects within.

Four Elements of the Nature
Design and decorate four different ‘experience-based’ hotel rooms. Each room type must provide a different accommodation experience/service, for example, business suite, pet friendly room, family suite, group get away dorm, youth entertainment suite, deluxe dining suite.
The space planning must incorporate a repeated combination of the four different rooms to provide 12 rooms as a minimum in the boutique hotel.
