Carmel Realty Company was founded in 1913 predating the incorporation of the City of Carmel. For four generations since, The Mitchell Family has been a leader in the Real Estate market in Carmel, Pebble Beach and surrounding Monterey Peninsula. In August 2005, Dan and Shelly Mitchell Lynch purchased Carmel Realty Company in order to continue its century of quality and rich tradition as local, authentic, luxury real estate experts. KKatie McAlister leads both the Vacation Rental and Long-Term Rental departments at Carmel Realty Company, overseeing residential rental operations across the Monterey Peninsula. In this role, she focuses on strategic planning, operational alignment, and delivering a consistent, highlevel experience for owners, guests, and tenants alike.
With a background in luxury hospitality, including experience at Pebble Beach Resorts, Bernardus Lodge, Kimpton Hotels and private clubs in the Bay Area, Katie brings a service-driven yet highly organized approach to property management. She is known for building strong teams, streamlining processes, and guiding clients with clarity and care.
Katie moved from the San Francisco in 2018 and is proud to call Pacific Grove home. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the area’s restaurants, beaches, and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Andrea Splendorio brings over a decade of experience in property management, with a strong focus on long-term residential and commercial assets. Her background spans rent compliance, tenant relations, leasing, maintenance oversight, and full-scale remodel coordination, making her a well-rounded and highly capable property manager.
Andrea began her career in the hospitality and restaurant industries, where she managed daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and vendor coordination. That early foundation shaped her operational mindset and commitment to exceptional client service. She transitioned into property management nearly eleven years ago, advancing from receptionist to maintenance coordinator and ultimately to property manager overseeing regulated long-term portfolios in Oakland, Berkeley, and surrounding areas.
A fter relocating to the Monterey Peninsula, Andrea focused exclusively on long-term and commercial property management, overseeing leasing, drafting agreements, supervising renovations, and managing day-to-day operations for owners. She has extensive experience coordinating remodels and capital improvements, working closely with vendors and contractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and thoughtfully.
Now part of Carmel Realty Company’s Long-Term and Commercial Division, Andrea is known for her responsiveness, organization, and hands-on approach. She takes pride in protecting asset value while fostering positive, professional relationships with both owners and tenants.

Shelly Mitchell Lynch represents the fourth generation of the Mitchell Family to sell, invest and manage real estate in Carmel and on the Monterey Peninsula. Together with her parents, Bill and Vicki Mitchell, proudly continues the family tradition in the local real estate business.
Graduate of Stanford University (BA1989), Shelly has 25+ years of marketing and sales experience in the technology (Xerox), biotech (Chiron) and entertainment (ABC/Walt Disney Co.) industries for Fortune 500 companies.

When The Mitchell Family sold their 40-year old, billion dollar real estate company, The Mitchell Group, to Sotheby’s International Realty in 2005, Shelly wanted to stay a local business owner and, together with her husband, bought Carmel Realty Company, Carmel’s premier property management and rental business. At the helm of Carmel Realty Company, and as top local sales performers in the area, Shelly’s network, knowledge and inside track on properties gives her clients the critical edge required in today’s market.
