This work is one in a series of works which explore diatonicism. In some sections, phrases are constructed using complete diatonic scales; other sections use four-note chords which, when stacked, generate a diatonic scale. But, more important to the listener than the compositional method is the fantastical storyline indicated by the six section titles.
