What is the Summer Reading Adventure?
Readers of all ages can earn rewards as they read throughout the summer. Enjoy special events, performances and educational programs all summer long while earning rewards for reading. This year’s theme, “Level Up at Your Library,” encourages participants to explore new skills, discover hobbies and find great books at all three library locations.

How do I participate?
• Register – Visit carlsbadlibrary.beanstack.org or use the Beanstack Tracker app for Android or iOS. Log into your account or create one if you are a new reader.
• Record – Readers of all ages record their reading minutes in Beanstack.
• Report – Children 12 and under can receive a free book by sharing their recent reads with a friendly volunteer in the children’s area of each library location.
• Rewards – Rewards will be available for pickup starting June 9 at all library locations. Minutes

Keep reading! For every hour read after 600 minutes, choose a treasure chest item while supplies last.

All ages and families are welcome. Come and enjoy a state of bubble happiness at the Dove Library. Throughout the summer, families are invited to blissfully play with bubbles in the Children’s garden.

For tweens, ages 9 – 12 or grades 3rd – 6th: Starting on June 9, join us on the second Monday of the month for games and snacks! Bring your friends or make new ones.
EXPLORATION HUB EVENTS
Level up in the Exploration HUB at the Carlsbad City Library on Dove Lane this summer to learn all about the 3D printer, the silhouette cameo and basic coding and robotic skills.
