Yoga at Stagecoach - All Levels

Welcome volunteer instructors Sami and Nancy! Sami leads the first Tuesday with chair yoga and a sound bath. Approachable for all levels of experience and skills, chair yoga is soft on your body but helps you stay flexible and strong. Nancy leads the remaining Tuesdays with a combination of traditional Hatha with Yin postures, moving at a mindful pace to improve balance to strengthen and create breath awareness. Last session before the summer break!

Self Defense with Karate

We invite you to join us for four 1hr long sessions where we can answer questions, and discuss, create, and practice scenarios each week. Though ‘self-defense’ covers more than just ‘being attacked’ as we will discuss, we will focus on a different type of attack each week:
WEEK 1: How to deal with grabs
WEEK 2: How to deal with an attack from in front of you WEEK 3: How to deal with an attack from behind WEEK 4: How to deal with unwanted touching in social situations & What to do as a bystander witnessing someone else being bullied, intimidated or threatened.

If you want to hear a particular song, search for it on YouTube. If you need help repairing your bike, you’ll find it on YouTube. The advantages of paying for YouTube Premium will also be covered. Aspects of privacy and advertising will be discussed.

Work with Master Gardener Jano Nightingale to plant and care for the Senior Center raised bed vegetable garden at the Pine Avenue Community Garden. Plant selection, pruning, fertilization, and organic insect and disease control will be covered. This is not a drop-in program, and registration is required to attend as space is limited. No-shows will be removed from the roster to make space for the waitlist. Please bring your own tools. The Pine Avenue Community Garden is located on the corner of Madison St and Chestnut Ave.

Zo Shah & Gunnar Biggs were born a generation and a continent apart – but when they came together musically for the first time it was an immediate connection. They are currently working on a duo project capturing the spirit of Ron Carter and Jim Hall's duo performances. They create a very interactive soundscape of conversational harmonies and rhythms on older jazz standards.
Seaside Singers: Spring Concert

This is the month! Get your head bobbing and foot tapping to sounds of jazz, swing, pop, rock and roll, and even musicals as we perform our Spring Concert. We will sing at least one song from each decade from the 1930s through the 1970s. There will be something for everyone! Same concert on both days.
Senior Excursion: Deer Park Winery & Auto Museum

Excursion registration opens on the 1st of each month! Escape to the charming Deer Park Winery and Auto Museum in Escondido, CA where history, wine, and classic cars come together for an unforgettable experience. A selection of wine tasting, meats, cheeses, and snacks are available for purchase at the Winery. You're also welcome to bring your own picnic lunch if you prefer. Please check-in at the Senior Center at 10 a.m. We plan to leave Escondido at 3 p.m. for an approximate arrival of 4 p.m. back at the Senior Center.
