In Perpetuo is a dynamic and intense work that is based on a constant eighth-note motor rhythm. This “perpetual motion” idea propels the piece forward with great momentum.
Constructed as a five-part rondo form (ABACA), the primary melody reappears several times throughout the work, but is transformed and developed through motivic development, modulation, and through colorful orchestration techniques.
