This independent test house is one of Europe’s largest technical-scientific associations and a symbol of safety and quality that each of our VDE specific tools wears with pride.

All C.K VDE tools conform to the requirements of the latest international standard EN IEC 60900:2018, which sets out the insulation tests that every single tool has to pass to prove their safety. The most important test is where each VDE product is put under water and given a 10,000-volt charge. This tests that the handles are 100% insulated and will protect the user even if the product touches live wires carrying up to 1000 volts.
