STYLE-steal THONET No. B9 Le Corbusier chair, $346.50, 1800 800 777 KIP & CO cushion cover, $65, kipandco.net.au

LIVING ROOM Here I am in the main room of the house – I want it to be as homely as possible. It’s filled with lots of fun pieces.

MARIMEKKO Siirtolapuutarha mug, $26, (02) 9299 0372

GARDEN I had these seat cushions covered in Missoni Dalia fabric, but they double as very comfortable day beds in summer!

VITRA cork stool, $685, spacefurniture.com

BEDROOM The artwork is by a friend, Freddy Ganim. I love its Italian vibe and the surprised expressions on the characters’ faces. It clashes dramatically with the Marimekko sheets. The bookshelf is a new addition to the house. It was a wedding present and it’s something we treasure.

LUCY FOLK’S cosy TERRACE IS A MIXED BAG OF quirky objects WHO Food-themed jeweller Lucy Folk (lucyfolk.com) and her husband, architect Charlie Inglis WHERE South Yarra, Melbourne WHAT Cheerful objets d’art cherry-picked from creative friends and travel adventures

After three years of renting, we bought this house in 2005. The previous owner was a builder and he did a great renovation, so we haven’t made any structural changes – just cosmetic ones. The biggest alteration was adding shutters. The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a walk-in dressing room that’s all mine. I spend a lot of time in there. We love being in this area and feel pretty lucky to have the botanical gardens at one end of the street and a giant park at the other. Our living area is elevated and has doors that open out onto a small terrace. You couldn’t ask for a leafier area. It’s a convenient location, too – we’re close to the city, my boutique and Charlie’s office. I’m obsessed with colour and have filled the house with an eclectic combination of fun pop memorabilia, knick-knacks and humorous pieces. A lot of our artwork is by people we know. While I appreciate design and supporting my friends, I wouldn’t do so unless I genuinely liked their work. It’s a really nice way not only to showcase what you love, but also people you value, and it feels extra-special because we

super-important. I like to entertain my guests with food as well as art. I have breakfast and check emails here every morning.
