MY EXPERIENCE OF THE OILY WATER SEPERATOR FROM RWO VEOLIA WATER TECHNOLOGIES
Oily water separators are used to, as the term implies, separate oil from water before it is disposed in the ocean, or sea. This is to avoid adding harmful chemicals like oil to the aquatic life. The International Maritime Organization has published regulations regarding these. It’s also good to hear that the RWO Veolia water separating system is certified by this organization. The RWO Veolia oily water separator breaks down oil and removes traces of hydrocarbon contaminants because of the combination of a second stage emulsion, and a highly effective open porous coalesce with periodical back flushing. This back flushing keeps their oily water separator effective.
THE RWO VEOLIA OILY WATER SEPERATOR FEATURES
OILY CONTENT MONITOR This monitor has an alarm that notifies you if the oil content has gone beyond what the IMO Resolution MEPC.107 states. The bilge water, according to this, should not go above 15 ppm. There is a three-way diverting valve that can also be in recirculation mode when the alarm device flushes. An effective separating process is ensured because there is an extra three-way valve that is installed downstream of the oily water separator in the overboard line
AUTOMATIC BYPASS This is to extend the life of the demulsifier. This also ensures that the system is working efficiently, and effectively.
