THANKS TO OUR AAR BOARD

We would like to show our deep appreciation to Susie Pham ’12, Erika Drezner ’94, and Steve Maack ’90, for their dedication to the AAR board. They will be cycling off the board this year but their impact will remain.

All three of these volunteers have been vital to the progress of the AAR program for the last four years. Susie took the role of chair and ran with it, helping to lead the board and bring ideas to life. Both Erika and Steve, as high school teachers, provided constant ideas, support, and laughs as vital voices in this space with a focus on putting the student first in all things AAR. All three will continue to be valued members of the AAR program, and we were lucky to have them on our team.

Our Board Continues To Grow

This year we welcomed four new AARs, spanning three different decades of experience at Carleton, to our AAR board: Ross Chavez ’01, Monica Welke ’10, Chase Garcia ’19, and Ella Peoples ’25. Recognizing that there is no singular Carleton experience, our new board members have leaned into the mission and volunteer objectives to expand our collective thinking about the direction of the AAR program. They have brought great conversations, laughter, and critical pushes. We are thrilled to have their leadership inform the goals and strategies of the AAR program for years to come.
