Breakages & Airbnb Security Deposit–
Sometimes breakages are unavoidable and we understand that. We would prefer that you let us know if something was accidently broken during your stay rather than to find it after you leave and then have to deduct it from your Airbnb security deposit (E 200)
As a standard procedure Cecile will do a check at departure.
Check-in –
Check-in time is from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Refer to page 4 of this manual for more details on this subject. We need to know your arrival time so that Cecile can be on hand to welcome you, hand over the keys and orientate you with the apartment. If you need to arrive after 6:00 pm we are flexible but this may incur and additional E20 fee. If for some reason you have been unavoidably detained and cannot make your prearranged arrival time you must as soon as possible contact Cecile on +33 (0)608957757 (same day) or cecilepuig@hotmail.fr if given enough notice.
Check-out –
Check-out time is by 10:00 am. Cecile will be on hand for your departure at 10:00 am to do an inspection of the apartment and to accept the return of the keys. If you need to depart earlier than 10:00am you should contact Cecile on +33 (0)608957757 and pre-arrange your preferred departure time. We would appreciate that you DO NOT depart without any notification. We are very flexible if you need to depart earlier than 10:00 am you just need to preorganized a time with Cecile.
Coffee Appliances –
There are 4 different types of coffee making appliances available at the apartment (see picture).

Pre-Paid Cleaning Fee –
We hope that when you arrive at the apartment you appreciate the level of cleanliness that it was presented. The E85 cleaning fee that you have paid ONLY covers the cost of laundering the used linen and the general dusting and maintenance required around the apartment. It is your responsibility to ensure that the apartment is left in the same clean state that you found it (other than laundering the linen). Cleaning included the kitchen, bathroom, and floor vacuuming. Should the apartment require excessive cleaning after your departure you will incur additional cleaning costs and a potential negative review on your Airbnb profile.
Damages & Deposit –
Like breakages mentioned above, we understand accidents happen and that things wear out. Please let us know if you find something that is not working or that you accidently damaged something during your stay. We will work it out honestly and transparently. Failure however to own up to damages will result in additional charges and a potential bad review on your Airbnb profile.
The apartment has a dishwasher installed to make keeping the kitchen cleaning easier for you. Please use the correct chemicals for each wash and where possible use the economy settings to save power. Also please rinse the dirty dishes first before placing them in the dishwasher to avoid a buildup of waste matter inside the machine. If the dishwasher is not working, please contact our local host Cecile for guidance.DVD –
The apartment has a DVD player installed attached to the TV. There is also a large collection of (English) DVDs for you to use should you wish to play them.
Electrical Fuse Panel –

Each breaker on this RCD protected fuse panel has been appropriated labelled. If a circuit has “tripped” it should be obvious which one it is.
If when you attempt to reset the breaker, it continues to “trip,” please refer to the notes below for additional guidance.
The electrical fuse box is located just inside the apartment entrance door. If for any reason the apartment has a loss of power (partial or full) then this is your first port of call. Look for any circuit breakers that may have “tripped” and reset it. If the circuit does not reset then the individual circuit may be overloaded with numerous appliances at once and you will need to disconnect an appliance before resetting the breaker.
If you are running a lot of appliances in the kitchen and the washing machine all at the one time this will potentially trip the circuit and will need resetting. Before attempting to reset the breaker, you should just turn off any unnecessary appliance and reset the breaker.
CAUTION - The main electrical supply fuse for the apartment is located on the 1st floor landing just outside the apartment door. If the apartment has lost complete power (but is not because of a blackout from the utility supplier) the main breaker may have tripped and will need resetting. If after attempting to reset the main breaker it continues to “trip” then the reason for this occurring may be serious and you should contact Cecile for further advice.
If the power outage has been caused by an outside event such as a storm or a utility company blackout then there is nothing else to do but wait for the power supply to return.
Fans –
There are 2 portable electric fans available for your use in the apartment.

Hot Water –
The hot water heater is in the bathroom. Its power source is located on the main electrical board on the 1st floor landing. It is always left on and ready for use on your arrival. If for some reason it has been turned off at the power source you will need to switch it back on and wait for about an hour for it to heat up. If the water heater fails to heat up, please contact Cecile and she will organize for a plumber to attend the apartment at the first available time.
Keys –
When you arrive Cecile will welcome you and issue you with one set of keys to the apartment and the street entrance door. If for any reason you lose or misplace the keys you will need to contact Cecile to organize to obtain another set. The loss of a set of keys will incur a E60 fee to cover the cost of the new replacement keys and the cost of Cecile’s time bring them to you and organize replacement.
Linen –
Bedroom, bathroom & kitchen linen is supplied in the apartment. Depending on the number of people staying at the time will depend on the amount of line we will provide. We will launder the dirty linen after your departure as part of your paid cleaning fee. One amount of linen is provided per rental period. Depending on the length of your stay you may want to launder the linen yourself using the washing machine available in the apartment, but please use the correct laundry chemicals and please do not damage the linen through incorrect washing as any damage may incur a fee to replace the damaged linen. If you require any further guidance in this matter contact Cecile. Thank you for your cooperation in this regard.
Noise –
Our apartment is in a residential building with other permanent residents also occupying the building. We ask that you always consider the quiet enjoyment and amenity of other residents during your stay and always keep your noise to an acceptable level. This includes the volume of the TV and loud music. We do not allow the use of the apartment for group parties or entertaining.
Pets –
We all love our pets but unfortunately for the consideration of future guests who will use the apartment we must enforce a NO PETS policy. There are lots of people who have allergies to animals so we must consider this when upholding this policy. Thank you for understanding.
Post Office –
The Amelie Post Office is located just around the corner from the apartment at 16 Rue Joseph Coste.
Smoke Alarms –
The apartment has several smoke alarms installed for your safety. Please DO NOT tamper with them at any time they are there for your safety. If they require attention or battery replacement, please advise Cecile who will organize for a new battery or replacement of a faulty unit.

Things to do – Route de vins French Catalonia
Languedoc-Roussillon wine, including the vin de pays labeled Vin de Pays d'Oc, is produced in southern France. While "Languedoc" can refer to a specific historic region of France and Northern Catalonia, usage since the 20th century (especially in the context of wine) has primarily referred to the northern part of the Languedoc-Roussillon région of France, an area which spans the Mediterranean coastline from the French border with Spain to the region of Provence. The area has around 700,000 acres (2,800 km2) under vines and is the single biggest wine-producing region in the world, being responsible for more than a third of France's total wine production
