Uniform and Dress Code

Carinya Christian School Tamworth & Gunnedah

The compulsory school uniform has been designed and developed with an eye to cost, quality and presentation. Wearing the uniform is a condition of enrolment at Carinya.

Parents are expected to maintain and promote the Carinya Uniform Code and Dress Requirements by:

• Ensuring that all compulsory items of uniform are provided for their child.

• Only purchasing items of uniform from the school Uniform Shop.

• Ensuring that their child is complying with the Personal Grooming and Presentation requirements of the Uniform Code.

• Maintaining the uniform in good repair.

• Supporting the “door to door” policy of the school in regard to school uniform and grooming requirements.

Students in Middle and Senior (7-12) School who present at school without the correct uniform, or are inappropriately groomed, will be placed on a lunchtime detention and parents will be informed via email. Students in Junior and Middle (K-6) School who present at school without the correct uniform, or are inappropriately groomed, will have a note sent home in the Boomerang Book or via email. Where there are ongoing uniform issues, students may not be admitted to class and parents will be contacted. Students may be required to go home. Please feel free to speak with your principal if you would like any aspect of the Uniform Code and Dress Requirements clarified.
