Keeping Up With Carinya
What a month May was!
Starting out in lockdown was not how we envisaged the month to start. Nevertheless, we got through it unscathed with 2 residents contracting the virus and making a full recovery.
Staff were also impacted due to exposures so we needed to call in reinforcements. That came in the form of five air force personnel (how lucky were we!). For one week they filled in the gaps within our lifestyle, kitchen and cleaning teams. Residents loved their upbeat energy and they were sad to see the "boys" (as they were fondly called) go.
With exposure still within the local community, it is not surprising we are feeling the pinch here with the workforce shortages.
We are certainly looking forward to a more positive month.
