Students of CW Sears and Tofield School headed back to the new academic year this past week, Thursday, Sept. 3. “We were so thrilled to see students on the first day of school!” said CW Sears Principal Emily Coykendall. “The staff has worked hard to get
their classrooms ready and have everything ready to roll. The students were also very happy to be back in school.” According to Coykendall, they have extra safety measures in place to ensure everyone is washing their hands, using masks where necessary, and staying in their cohort groups.
“The start up was very smooth and students are remembering their designated doors and getting used to the new recess schedule,” she added. “Although things are different, we will do our best to ensure a great year for everyone! We look forward to working with our parents and the Tofield community in partnership to support
our students.” Tofield School students were also happy to be back, stated Tofield School Principal Janice Muench. “Abundance abounds; this was the sentiment that was shared with our staff from an appreciative parent in regard to our back to school planning.” Continued on Page 14
