100th Poppy Campaign kicks off MOUSH JOHN Editor
Every year, The Royal Canadian Legion conducts the Poppy Campaign, along with thousands of their members who volunteer across the country, and this year was no different, as Tofield Legion President, Barb Ferguson, and Secretary Bonnie Ferguson launched the 100th anniversary of the Poppy Campaign this year last Friday, Oct. 29. “Tofield Legion started their Annual Poppy Campaign on both a high and a low note on Friday,” said Legion Secretary Bonnie Ferguson. “The kickoff was marred by the discovery that someone had recently removed the honour plaque from the Cenotaph itself.
