Lindbrook shopkeeper ‘feels threatened’ What’s MOUSH JOHN Editor

It has been an ongoing battle between Lindbrook shopkeeper, Hemla Wilson and the Tofield RCMP since last year, and on Jan. 18, 2021 the former was charged with ‘Individual contravening order of medical officer of health, contrary to Section 73(1) of the Public Health Act.’ Wilson has appealed the charge and is “frustrated” and “feels threatened.” “I am concerned with the number of trespasses that has occurred on my property – seven times! And I feel threatened as a woman, continually to be harassed and attacked by a masked person with a badge and a gun,” Wilson said. “The first trespass was on Jan. 5, and it was an ambush by Tofield RCMP Sgt. Lee Knelsen and Cst. Sharma along with AHS’s Dave Fong. “The seventh trespass

happened on March 25, which was also an ambush! They cannot show up on my property uninvited and unannounced. I am confused as to why Knelsen continues to harass, trespass, and cause harm and damage upon me.” She said that she stands in honour and believes that her associates, including her sons are kind and compassionate people who have never had any intent to harm any fellow man, including Knelsen. “I’ve had an excellent relationship with the local RCMP for 18 years,” she added. “Aren’t they supposed to be serving the people or have they gone rogue bringing in rogue agents who work for private corporations? We are disappointed with the lack of response or help from our local RCMP.” In response to this investigation, Sgt. Knelsen said, “Tofield RCMP, along with partner agen-

cies, have been actively engaged in this ongoing and lengthy investigation concerning Countryside Service in Lindbrook, as it relates to contravention of the Public Health Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

“The Tofield RCMP has been and will continue to be focused on safely resolving this matter for the safety of the public, the employees, and the business owner(s).” Wilson noted that the RCMP are guilty of not

only trespassing, but harassing, extorting, and inflicting mental and emotional anguish on her and her associates, wasting their time and being obstructive in preventing her from earning.
