It wasn’t the same environment or the space in which this year’s award recipients celebrated their success, a fact that Tofield School Principal Janice Muench and her staff had to work with.

“Awards at Tofield School had to look a bit different this year and we certainly grappled with how to honour the hard work of our students who achieved academic and athletic excellence,” she said. “That said, thanks to the hard work

of Mr. Bobier and our teachers, we were able to honour our recipients, albeit in a much different way! In-person gatherings of mixed cohorts did not allow for the tradi-

Travis Toews, Alberta Minister of Finance and President of the Treasury Board said in a news confrence before tabling the budget on Thursday, Feb. 25 that he wasn’t happy with COVID-19 and the pandemic, and the resulting economic challenges that it resulted in.

With an estimated $43.7 billion in revenue, Toews predicted an $18.2billion deficit in the coming year – one of the largest in the province’s history.

By the end of the fiscal year, the provincial debt is expected to be $115.8 billion.

Among the planned spending this year is a $1.25-billion contingency fund to respond to COVID-19, which includes vaccination rollout, and will be focused on priorities such as acute care, continuing care, testing and assessment centres, contact tracing, surgical backlog caused by the pandemic, personal protective equipment, vaccine deployment and supports to shelters and vulnerable Albertans. However, any COVID contingency spending is subject to approval from cabinet and Treasury Board.

“Budget 2021 ensures that our health-care system has the resources required to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Alberta’s government will

remain nimble to respond to the needs of Albertans as they emerge while ensuring that Alberta’s economy is on the path to recovery and growth,” Toews said.

Budget 2021, which has been considered a historic investment in health “s good news for health care in Alberta” according to Tyler Shandro, Minister of Health.

“The health system has responded swiftly and effectively to address health-care pressures associated with the pandemic,” he said. “We are staying true to our promise of prioritizing healthcare funding and ensuring Albertans continue to have access to a quality and sustainable health system – whenever they need it.”

Premier Jason Kenney said that the budget was a reflection of the province’s top priority.

“The historic investment in health care in Budget 2021 reflects the Alberta government’s top priority – protecting Albertans through the COVID-19 pandemic,” Kenney stated. “As the pandemic continues, keeping Albertans healthy is key to driving our economic recovery.

BRSD Superintendent completes Doctor of Education degree Moush John Tofield Mercury

BRSD Superintendent Rita Marler completed her Doctor of Education degree recently with a focus on K-12 leadership, with her research study being on the instructional leadership role of the assistant principal.

“Assistant principals are going to be principals one day, so I wanted to understand the challenges and opportunities they face during their time as assistant principals, in order to ensure we are providing them what they need to be quality, successful principals in the future,” Marler said.

This is her seventh year of being in the role of BRSD Superintendent.

Speaking to the relevance of her degree to her position, Marler explained,

“Because the focus of the course work and my research was K to 12 education, and in particular instructional leadership, it is very relevant to my role.

“The research that I have done confirms for me that we are doing the right work to ensure quality teaching and optimal student learning.

We’re always learning and assessing our processes and practices, to ensure that we are making decisions that are based on what is best for students and their learning.”

Marler added that no matter what BRSD faces at the division level, ultimately all their decisions are and will be made based on what supports students and learning.

On Feb. 22, Tofield RCMP responded to a wellbeing check on an individual in Holden.

RCMP arrived and were able to meet with the occupant and confirm that they were okay.

On Feb. 22, Tofield RCMP responded to a 911 hang-up call in Beaver County. RCMP received an initial call from a cell phone, where the caller requested police to attend and then hung up before details could be provided and then failed to answer subsequent call-backs.

RCMP were able to locate the caller after a period of time and confirmed that the caller had likely been drinking and did not require police assistance.

On Feb. 23, Tofield

RCMP responded to a suspicious person complaint in Tofield. RCMP were advised of a female, dressed in black who was walking through the back-alley near a business. RCMP attended, located and identified the female and confirmed that there was no criminal offence committed.

On Feb. 23, Tofield RCMP responded to a residential break and enter in progress in Beaver County. The complainant advised the RCMP that three individuals had attended his rural residence in a car and were currently attempting to access a number of buildings on his property and stealing various items. Tofield, Vegreville, Viking RCMP, and Sherwood Park RCMP Police Dog Service arrived on scene and safely arrested two indi-

I’d never taken much interest in the Chinese Zodiac Calendar until I discovered that 2020 was the Year of the Rat. It

couldn’t have been more aptly named.

Rats are not popular.

They are vermin – not to be confused with varmints which are cute little comic characters, or in the real world, squirrels and chipmunks. Rats are unclean and spread disease. Does that remind you of anything? Yes, Year of the Rat, Year of Covid. Same difference.

The only difference is that rats desert the sinking ship; Covid turns everything around it into a

sinking ship and then sticks around to watch the chaos that follows.

Covid, if it had a mother, rat her out to save itself (the dirty snitch).

Fortunately, that’s all behind us. Not only have we – mankind - proven ourselves stronger than Mr. Rat thought we were but his Year is over and the Year of the Ox has begun. In fact no more major catastrophes are expected with the strong and stubborn ox in charge. Go, Ox!! Stomp

Anyone born in a Year of the Ox is considered hardworking, reliable and conscientious, just to name a few favourable traits, but can also be stubborn. Of course, no one is perfect and we’d all rather be called a stubborn ox than a dirty rat.

Barack Obama is an Ox, which makes me wonder if Trump is a Rat. Well, we already know the answer to that, no matter what his birthdate. Oops, sorry, promised myself

not to go there once he’d been unseated. The Chinese Zodiac is much more interesting. . . .

Hubby was born in 1942 so is a Horse but he did a lot of snorting, sounding more piggish than horse-like when I read off his sign’s traits.

While agreeing that he’s highly intelligent (but smart enough to hide it well) and has a deft sense of humor (known as The King of Puns, the sillier the better) he’s definitely not a party animal and

you couldn’t force him to ‘delight audiences’ onstage at gunpoint.

I am a Monkey, clever (well, I don’t like to brag), agile (maybe in a previous life), but needing more patience, something that is being severely tried today as we try to book our vaccine appointments, but not compatible with the Horse which explains our 50+ years together. If either of us were a Rat we wouldn’t have made it past 49.

On Feb. 25, Tofield RCMP responded to a theft of catalytic converters from a business in Tofield. RCMP attended and were able to confirm that a number of vehicles were victim of this theft.

This file is still under investigation.

On Feb. 25, Tofield RCMP responded to a well-being check on a person in Tofield. RCMP arrived on scene and were able to determine that the individual required assistance. RCMP

along with Beaver County Victim Services and FCSS were able to assist the individual.

On Feb. 25, Tofield RCMP responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in Beaver County.

RCMP responded to a suspicious Loomis Courier van that appeared to have a lone passenger inside, sleeping. RCMP arrived on scene and patrolled the area although nothing was located.

On Feb. 26, Tofield RCMP responded to a fraud complaint involving an elderly person in Tofield.

RCMP responded and found that the complainant was contacted by an unknown individual to send $300 cash overseas to Jamaica and was subsequently contacted again to send more money. The bank was able to catch the complainant before more money was sent and ad-

vised the complainant to report this to the RCMP This file is still under investigation.

On Feb. 27, Tofield RCMP responded to a theft complaint in Tofield.

RCMP were advised from the complainant that personal property was stolen from him, by a family member. RCMP were able to speak to all the persons involved and able to locate the property to be returned safely to the complainant.

On Feb. 27, Tofield RCMP responded to a complaint of an unleashed, aggressive dog in Beaver County. RCMP spoke to the complainant and provided information and direction to contact the Beaver County Bylaw for direction.

Updates to previous investigations On Nov. 27, 2020, Tofield RCMP responded to a 911 complaint from On-star regarding a fe-

male driver who had run out of gas outside Tofield on Hwy. 834 and requested assistance.

RCMP attended, located the female although were unable to identify the female as she appeared to be lying about her name.

During further investigation, RCMP were able to identify the female, Elora Bruno of Maskwacis Alberta, and she was subsequently charged with the following: 1) Resist/obstruct police officer, contrary to Section 129(a) of the Criminal Code; 2)

Alberta taking action to protect lives and livelihoods MLA Jackie Lovely Camrose Constituency

Since last year, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed everything about our lives.

From whom we see to how we work, shop and learn, every single one of us has been impacted in one way, shape or form. That is why Alberta’s government has taken action to protect the lives and livelihoods of Albertans as they continue to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Early in the pandemic, we recognized that social distancing guidelines and financial stress could have adverse effects on the mental health and wellbeing of Albertans.

That is why we made a $53 million investment in mental health and addiction supports to make sure Albertans who were in crisis would get the help they need. Like the more than $43,000 grant for the Camrose and District Family Violence Action Society.

We also acted to protect Alberta’s most vulnerable, including those living in congregate living facilities. In May 2020, Alberta tax-

payers invested more than $170 million in funding to help keep residents and staff in long-term care, designated supportive living facilities and seniors’ lodges safe.

Something very important in the Camrose area as we have a large seniors population.

Knowing that our older generations are at high risk from COVID19, this funding helped us continue to protect our most vulnerable and allowed for facilities to enhance staffing and purchase additional PPE and cleaning supplies.

Protecting the lives of Albertans has been a priority throughout the pandemic, and we have instituted public health measures to help keep people safe.

When the second wave hit in the fall, we took additional action to protect our health care system with aggressive measures to slow the spread of the virus. So far, these measures have worked, and case counts and hospitalizations have recently declined.

Most recently, as part of Step 1 of Alberta’s four-step framework to ease restrictions, we allowed school-related and limited indoor and outdoor children’s sport and performance activities, one-on-one indoor fitness classes with a trainer, and dine-in service at restaurants, cafes and pubs. We will continue to monitor data to ensure that any steps we take to reduce restrictions on Albertans continue to protect their lives.

COVID-19 has also impacted our businesses, employers, and for some their ability to

go to work. While vaccines offer some hope of a return to normal, ongoing delivery delays from the federal government mean reasonable public health restrictions must remain in place. That is why Alberta’s government has continued to take steps to protect the livelihoods of Albertans.

We recently announced the Enhanced COVID Business Benefit, a new program that provides financial relief to those businesses whose bottom lines have been most affected by public health measures. We have also provided income support for people un-

able to work while they self-isolate, and provided support for daycares and day homes so childcare is not a barrier for those who are still able to work.

Applications for the Critical Worker Benefit also recently opened on Feb. 17. This benefit was launched to recognize hundreds of thousands of critical workers who continue to support and provide services to Albertans during this pandemic, and workers in health care, social services, education and in some parts of the private sector are eligible to receive this one-time payment.

We have also made significant investments in infrastructure projects.

Accelerated schools, roads and other construction projects have helped us get more Albertans back to work while also moving ahead on important projects for communities across the province.

Alberta Party’s Shadow Budget projection Moush John Tofield Mercury

The Alberta Party has presented a Shadow Budget since 2015 to give Albertans an alternate view of how the province could be run.

The number one role of government is to look after its people and people are a major focus of the Alberta Party’s 2021 Shadow Budget – people, economy, and jobs, which presents a budget scenario with a $15.94 billion deficit in 2021-22, and a $4.98 billion deficit in 2022-23.

According to Kevin Smook, Alberta Party President of Camrose Constituency, Phase one of the Alberta Party plan

is to get people back to work.

“Small businesses in the service economy have been the hardest hit due to government shutdown orders,” Smook said. “Camrose and area has not been immune to this. The Alberta Party would provide ATB and Credit Unions with $600 million for small business operating loans to empower owners and operators to rehire staff and grow so our people can return to their jobs or start new ones.

“Fifty per cent of this will be forgiven. The Alberta Party would also double the small business deduction from $500,000 to $1 million to support growth and development.”

To enable municipally-

led construction, the Alberta Party would create the Municipal Infrastructure and Employment Program.

“For example, this program would provide the City of Camrose, Towns, Villages and Counties with 70 per cent funding for projects identified as priorities to create economic opportunities for today’s workers and tomorrow’s economy,” Smook said.

“Total provincial funding would be $1.5 billion over three years. This is in contrast to the UCP budget released Feb. 25, in which municipalities will be the biggest losers, with MSI capital funding being reduced by 25 per cent over three years.”

According to Smook, the

pandemic has shown just how important stable, quality broadband internet connectivity is to commerce, health and education in the 21st century.

The Alberta Party would leave it up to municipalities to connect their citizens in the best way possible by creating a $500 million program called Connect Alberta, a grant program for municipalities to provide stateof-the-art internet connectivity to their citizens.

“Long-term thinking is essential for sustainable growth and steady expansion of the economy; achieving these goals requires a strong post-secondary education system that prepares our people (our greatest natural re-

source) for the economy of the future and empowers them to create future prosperity.

“The Alberta Party would restore all postsecondary funding cut by the current government.

Our advanced education institutions not only support research and development across dozens of fields but also directly inject billions of dollars annually into the Alberta economy; the economic value of the University of Alberta Augustana Faculty and Campus cannot be overlooked. There is a total impact of $111.7 million on Alberta and $73.8 million on Camrose and surrounding area from Augustana.”

He explained that in the 2019 election, the Alberta Party introduced Children First, an ambitious expansion of early learning and child care, helping families afford child care so parents are able to return to work.

“A new Ministry of Early Education would place a focus on early learning and early childhood in Alberta.”

Speaking about agriculture, Smook stated, “Agriculture is one of our largest and most important industries; the Alberta Party would introduce an incentive program for greenhouses to locally grow foods that are currently imported into Alberta, such as peppers, herbs, spices, or lettuce. The Alberta Party would also invest another $300 million to support value-added agriculture production, so more consumer-ready food is produced here at home.”

For decades, Alberta has been relying on Energy Royalties for revenues and when they decrease significantly, it throws us into a tailspin.

“Relying on resource revenues to pay for core services is like mortgaging your house to pay for groceries: it won’t work forever,” he added. “People, economy, and jobs introduces a budget scenario with a six per cent HST. A policy change of this size would not be implemented without a referendum, and a commitment to reducing spending to show Albertans it is part of an overall plan to restore fiscal sanity!

“The federal government has imposed a price on carbon for all Canadians; if that is to continue, then the Alberta Party believes a made-in-Alberta solution is the best way to take meaningful action on the environment while having the least negative impact on economic growth. Under the Alberta Party plan, transportation fuel would be subject to a carbon levy equivalent to $30/tonne of GHG emissions.”

In addition, Smook noted that each adult Albertan would receive a cash rebate equal to the average carbon tax collected based on typical urban or rural fuel use, depending on where they live.

“The rebate would be the same for each Albertan, only varying based on place of residence (rural/urban), not on income. With respect to agricultural activities, farm fuel, including propane and natural gas, would be 100 per cent exempted.”

CN financials prompt council discussion on whistle cessation Patricia Harcourt Upon a request from Reeve Jim Kallal, a report was submitted to the Feb. 17 meeting of Beaver County Council showing revenues received from and expenses paid to CN Rail.

The years went from 2017 to 2020: Total revenues received from CN were $2.43 million and total expenses were $138,600.

The information prompted the reeve to say that “we got stung financially from the crossroads,” referring to the expenses which the county incurred for railroad crossing upgrades and maintenance of CN crossroads.

Kallal also wanted CN official Tyler Banick has been invited to attend a virtual meeting with council to discuss the county’s pursuing of whistle cessation at three crossings.

“I certainly would like a few words with Mr. Banick,” said Division 4 Councillor Barry Bruce, adding he appreciated getting the financial report. “I don’t know that it has any relevance to

the problem that we have and that problem is noise.”

Bruce said people enjoy having a good night’s sleep in rural areas of the county. “Whistles (from trains) have become louder and louder, more powerful horns that are 16 ft. off the ground.”

With the whistles high atop the engines, the sound travels over the tree tops much further than originally intended.

“Our CN seems to think that people nine to 10 miles away need to hear these horns,” said Bruce. “We need to separate financial issues of maintenance and crossings, and concentrate on the noise issues.”

But Deputy Reeve Gene Hrabec (Division 3) disagreed, stating that: “If you have an issue with CN then you also have an issue with the grain terminals they pull in.” With the old grain terminals gone, Viking is lucky to have three grain buyers.

“So there’s lots of benefits to CN,” he said,

noting the track maintenance has improved over the last two years, although he is “not so happy with the weed control” along the line.

Hrabec said that “issues have got better over the last three and a half years,” adding that $2.5 million in revenues from CN “isn’t a pittance…

We need to look into the big picture.”

Hrabec said he wanted to improve the relationship with CN. “Our concern is (rail) maintenance and getting the weeds (along the line) cleaned up.

“I think they’re better and I think they’re trying,” he concluded.

Division 1 Councillor Kevin Smook agreed that the county is a partner with the railway in moving grain, but the county’s request to end the train whistles “seems to be slow going.”

And in 2020, the county got over $640,000 from CN, which Smook said was “nothing to sneeze at.”

The reeve’s motion to invite Banick to a future council meeting was passed.

Provincial policing leads to divided opinions on council Patricia Harcourt Beaver County Council discussed the concept of provincial policing and the financial role being played by municipalities at council’s Feb. 17 meeting.

Council had received the Alberta Association of Rural Municipalities Backgrounder called “Provincial investigation into Creating an Alberta Police Force.”

The issue led to divided opinions with Councillor Kevin Smook (Division 1) noting that the county is already paying $139,000 per year for the extra police being hired in the province through the province’s new policing program.

“This year it’s going up to $190,000,” he said, and will culminate in a few years to the province expecting the county to pay $480,000 per year.

Smook predicted the program will just get more

expensive.

“There’s a real good chance we’ll be on the hook for more,” he said, stating he “wasn’t a fan of putting money into the police force.”

Division 4 Councillor Barry Bruce said he phoned people in his division, and “not one person is in favour of this,” referring to the provincial owning of a police force.

“Nobody can understand why the province is going this way,” said Bruce, of the constituents he’s consulted for an opinion.

Division 5 Councillor Dale Pederson noted this was one of the recommendations of the province’s Fair Deal Panel. Pederson said he “wants to see the reason for it,” adding it appears the agreement now in place with the RCMP for policing “could be terminated with two years notice and the RCMP has been advised it could be happening.”

It’s “on hold right now,” he said, “I want to see the justification for it…I don’t see it personally.”

But Deputy Reeve Gene Hrabec (Division 3) had a different opinion. “I think everybody should be open minded,” he said, noting the Rural Municipalities Association sat in on a question and answer session with the province.

“I was surprised at how far along they already are.”

Hrabec said a provincial police force doesn’t mean the RCMP would be completely removed, as they would handle terrorism and federal laws. “The government is trying to sell (the idea) that rural Albertans will benefit from this,” he said.

“Rural crime is still a big concern,” he said, adding “there’s still an issue of people not reporting rural crime because they are so tired See POLICE BCC2

of it.”

Hrabec said he, too, has spoken to “numerous people,” hearing that the status quo is not good enough and any change has to make things “significantly better” in the fight against rural crime.

At the same time, Hrabec credited the RCMP stationed in Tofield and Viking for “doing a fabulous job.”

But he noted that “the judicial system is letting us down,” and more judges and prosecutors are needed.

He disagreed that the public is completely against the idea of a provincial police force.

“It’s not 100 per cent against it,” he said, and “the people I have

talked to want to see what will happen.

“They want to know what the boots on the ground and the service level locally would be,” he said, concerning a provincial force.

But there are questions about how many RCMP would transfer over to a provincial

policing system, and where would the training for recruits come from, among others.

“At the end of the day, I think it’s a good exercise to flush things out,” he said.

“The whole process is a good eye opener.”

County council agrees to participate in Wetland Replacement Program Patricia Harcourt After discussing the idea, Beaver County councillors have agreed to participate in the Wetland Replacement Program.

The move came Feb. 17 at the regular meeting of council with Mike Bates from the county agriculture department in attendance.

Bates said the program “is no longer just for Ducks Unlimited,” adding it is “now opened up to provincial municipalities.”

In his report, Bates defined the Wetland Replacement Program as: “a province led initiative available to non-profit organizations and municipalities to replace wetlands on the landscape.

“Funding for the program is provided by the province to recover costs associated with wetland replacement projects for both landowners and the municipality.

“This program was formerly delivered through Ducks Unlimited, and has recently been opened to municipalities and NGOs.” The municipality signs a memorandum of understanding with Alberta

Environment and Parks (AEP), for a three-year term. There is no contractual obligation to complete projects.

The municipality can submit a wetland replacement proposal to AEP, which reviews it. If approved, the municipality enters into a service contract with the municipality to do the project proposed.

Pros include projects being completely funded by the province along with positive impacts on county infrastructure by improving flood and drought resiliency in the county.

A con of the program is that the agreement between the landowner and the county must be placed on the title for a minimum of 10 years, and the county would be responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of completed projects.

“I think this is a step in the right direction,” said Division 1 Councillor Kevin Smook, adding the program might “work in concert” with that of the UNESCO Beaver Hill Biosphere project, which “is also doing this kind of thing.”

Bates cautioned: “Alberta Environment

says run (proposals) past them first before doing anything,” as AE’s prior approval is required.

Division 5 Councillor Dale Pederson said that “water is a pet peeve” of his. Pederson has brought to council issues of flooding and water diversion by landowners in his division.

Bates said that, ideally, both landowners and municipalities would initiate a project, citing Thomas Lake as one example, but the program is offered throughout the county.

“Is infrastructure road damage a reason to initiate a project,” asked Pederson.

“We can initiate it and provide it as an option, but it’s up to the landowner,” replied Bates.

“I can see that it’s not cut and dried but I am definitely in favour of it for sure,” said Pederson.

Deputy Reeve Gene Hrabec (Division 3) asked about maintenance responsibilities on the part of the county, but Bates said that is time limited.

“The agreement would have a term and once it’s done, it’s done,” he said.

After 10 years, “it’s just another wetland…The province wants it to remain wetlands even if it

changes hands,” he said, likening it to a conservation easement.

He explained: “They want water to stay on people’s property…so it doesn’t move or drain anywhere else or into other people’s property.”

“That’s great for the people who want to cooperate, but what does it do for the people that don’t,” asked Hrabec.

Said Division 4 Councillor Barry Bruce: “It’s not that I disagree with it. I have no problem with it,” but Ducks Unlimited has been running the program to this point and he wanted to know the number of participants in the DU program.

“Is the county going to be in competition with Ducks Unlimited for these wetlands and will the county compete for these wetlands,” he asked.

“It’s more of a collaboration than a competition,” said Bates, explaining that “it’s an opportunity to keep county dollars in the county. I think we have a strong enough relationship with Ducks Unlimited to partner with them on some of these projects.

Time Running Out: Small Business Clarification TIME IS RUNNING OUT! !

NEW SMALL BUSINESS CLASSIFICATION On February 3, 2021, Beaver County Council established a new assessment classification for small businesses. Council recognizes that small businesses are struggling in our current economy and is considering a reduction in the tax rate for this key sector of our rural community.

Inquiries may be addressed to the Returning Officer, Margaret Jones, or the Substitute Returning Officer, Cindy Cox, at 780-663-3730, or by e-mail to mjones@beaver.ab.ca or cindy@beaver.ab.ca.

To be eligible for the small business classification, a non-residential property must meet certain criteria, including a valid development/business permit, employment of fewer than 50 full-time staff, and submission of an application by the deadline date.

Season Cancellation

Council will decide on the small business tax rate when the annual budget is approved in the Spring. Provincial legislation limits the tax rate to no less than 75% of the general non-residential tax rate.

Due to the continued uncertainty with the Covid 19 pandemic, Beaver Regional Arts Society Board Members have unanimously agreed that it is not feasible to proceed with planning our next season performances. The decision has been made to cancel the 2021-2022 season.

To enable small businesses to take advantage of this program in the 2021 tax year, applications will be accepted on or before March 15, 2021 by e-mail, fax, or mail. She further explained about some of the changes she has seen over the period of time that she has been the Superintendent, “We have shifted from being a system of schools to being a school system; we all work together as a BRSD team to make decisions that support students across the division.

Whether students are in Tofield or Forestburg, whether the school is big or small, we want every student to have access to programs that meet their needs. We work together to find solutions to every circumstance that we face.

“Networks have been created where school leaders and teachers have access to each other and have been able to learn from each other, share with each other and collaborate

for the benefit of all students.”

Marler said she strongly believes in the importance of ongoing learning for all adults and especially those who are going to share their learnings with others.

“I completed my courses and my thesis on evenings, weekends, and holidays, over a period of four years; it definitely reminded me of the pressure that is created by meeting deadlines in the midst of all the daily requirements we each have!” she noted. “I was part of a cohort of other educators who were also school and system leaders, so I was fortunate to be able to engage with others who had similar daily work and experiences.

“We could discuss situations that were familiar to us all. I had the opportunity to do a lot of reflecting on how we do
