World Champion Kettlebell athlete starts training program in Tofield MOUSH JOHN Editor
Representing Team Canada in the sport of kettlebell lifting was a milestone that Tofield resident Holli Mack will never forget, and now that she’s finally moved back to her hometown, she feels it’s time to give back to the community where she was raised. “My parents moved out here in Tofield when I was a baby,” Mack said. “They still live on the same acreage today, sp when I found out I was pregnant, I knew it would be a good time to move back and be closer to family for support, not only for my daughter but for the business. “I love the Tofield community. Everyone is very supportive of small businesses, which is great when I’m still learning

how to balance being a new mom and a business owner!” Mack has been a Certified Personal Trainer for seven years. “When I first began coaching in 2014, I was an employee at a gym in Red Deer,” she added. “I stayed with that gym for four years, working with various clients. “In 2017, I moved to Edmonton and began my own coaching business – Holli Mack Fitnes. I contracted, and taught out of a couple locations in the city.” In the fall of 2020, Mack moved to her hometown here, and stopped instructing in November last year, because she became a mom to her beautiful daughter Lucy. “Through the years, I’ve had to keep myself updated as well as support myself because this

fitness industry can be quite competitve,” Mack explained. “I have had to gain numerous different certifications; because I believe that the more knowledge I have the bigger of a clientele base I can target/gain, and that’s resulted in mobility and kettlebells becoming my specialties.”
When she wasn’t working, she was training and competing in the sport of kettlebell lifting. “I got to travel to Korea in 2017, and Serbia in 2019, representing Team Canada on the World Kettlebell Lifting Stage. Those experiences gave Continued on Page 9
