Ryley’s Sarah Hrabec scores a perfect, makes it to Dean’s List MOUSH JOHN Editor Ryley High School graduate Sarah Hrabec scored an almost perfect 3.99 GPA this semester, making her way to the Dean’s List. Last semester she scored a 4.0 GPA to make it to the President’s List. Scheduled to graduate this spring from Lethbridge College, Hrabec said, “I was pretty excited to make the Dean’s List considering everything is online.” Currently attending Lethbridge College in the Corrections Diploma program, she has already been accepted into the Degree of Criminal Justice program this upcoming fall. “My experience for the most part has been relatively good amidst COVID-19,” Hrabec explained. “It has been difficult not being in the classroom or being able to interact with my classmates, and it’s definitely a lot harder to stay fo-
cused when you are sitting at the computer all day but it’s kinda nice to learn from the comfort of my own home. “It is definitely a change of pace from the classroom environment, although my professors have been extremely accommodating and helpful!” Hrabec’s parents – Beaver County councillor Gene Hrabec and wife Carrie Hrabec – couldn’t have been more proud. “We are pretty proud of her!” Carrie said. “She works so hard on her school work it amazes us! Last semester she made the President’s List with a 4.0 average, that’s pretty impressive for our Ryley School grad.” Hrabec is planning on working in the field of community corrections, hopeing to be as a probation officer. “I always knew I wanted to work in the public safety field just because I have family members and friends who Continued on Page 2
