After months of waiting, Irma Graduates get their big day Eric Anderson Publisher
Irma School’s outgoing 12th grade class finally got their proper graduation ceremony this past Friday, Aug. 28 at the new Irma School building. The theme for this year was “Small Town, Big Dreams.” This was the first ever ceremony held at the new school in what was an intimate ceremony of just 100 guests, due to COVID-19 health restrictions. The 14 members of the graduating class for 2020 includes Tryten Archibald, Brayden Armitage, Kirti Bagga, Josh Challenger, Tyson Crawford, Jason Glasgow, Easton Gwinn, Steven King, Cassy Larson, Haley Larson, Macie Larson, Harrison Lawson, Chase Squires and Jordan Venema. Principal Darren Grosky acted as the master of ceremonies for the graduation. Sheldon Archibald from the Buffalo Trail Public School Board gave his greetings, as did guest speaker Wendy Holt. Grad certificates were presented by Kyle Parsons. The Valedictorian Speech was presented to those in attendance by Steven King. Two tear-jerking slideshow presentations were also presented as a retrospective to the grads as well as including highlights from their drive-through graduation ceremony this past May. Forever Grateful presentations were made by Jason Glasgow and Jordan Venema. Class Prophecies were presented by Easton Gwinn and Macie Larson. Class Will was presented by Kirti Bagga. Thank yous were presented by Haley Larson and Harrison Lawson. The ceremony concluded with the grand march and a touching parent dance.
