Two seriously injured in Bruderheim area crash

Four people were injured, two seriously, in a two car collision at the corner of Highway 45 and Highway 15, Oct. 22.
Bruderheim Fire Department rolled on the accident after the call came in at 4:30 p.m., said Lamont County Regional Fire Chief Shayne Milliken.
“Two people were transported to the city while the other two were transported to the Fort Saskatchewan Hospital,” said Milliken.
“They didn’t have to be extricated from the vehicles using any major equipment.”
He said the accident happened during a very busy time of day and the department did more traffic control than anything else.
Fort Saskatchewan RCMP responded to the call as well as Bruderheim Fire Department.
According to Lamont County Peace Officer Derek Wright, an eastbound vehicle was attempting to turn from Highway 15 on to Highway 45 when it was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Meanwhile on Oct. 18, emergency departments from Andrew, Mundare, Hairy Hill and Willingdon responded to an accident on Hwy 45 between Rge. Rd. 155 and Rge Rd. 154 between a tractor trailer and a zoom boom construction vehicle.
Both were travelling in the same direction when they collided in foggy conditions.
