No stone left alone this Remembrance Day thanks to Daysland School students
Grade 8 and 9 students from Daysland School visited the Daysland Cemetery on Friday, Nov. 4 along with members of the Daysland Legion in a ʻNo Stone Left Aloneʼ ceremony. After a short memorial, students honoured the graves of every veteran buried in Daysland by placing a poppy on the headstone. See full story Page 10.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) announced on Friday, Nov. 3, that the Daysland Health Centre will continue to be without overnight on-site physician coverage Monday to Thursday through November. “The Emergency Department will be closed from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday to Thursday due to a lack of physician coverage.” Weekend coverage for the emergency department is in place. AHS says the emergency department will continue to be open seven days a week from 7 in the morning to 10 at night Monday through Thurs-
day, then 24 hours/day Friday through Sunday. “Patients presenting to the ED during the hours of closure will be referred to emergency departments in surrounding communities or to the local medical clinic for follow-up with a family physician, as appropriate. “EMS will divert patients to facilities in Camrose or Killam for emergency care, as needed. “AHS continues to work toward resuming regular operating hours.“ Daysland’s Emergency Department also operated through October with no overnight services available Monday through Thursday.
