Forestburg Grads: ‘Oh the places they will go!’ Leslie Cholowsky Editor
Forestburg School graduated 12 students this year, with their formal prom held on Friday, May 9, at the Forestburg Community Hall. Graduates Kasey Adams and Cooper Wiltse acted as the emcees for the formal grad ceremony. Battle River School Division Flagstaff County Trustee Dwight Dibben brought greetings from the Board, while Deputy Mayor Dwayne Giroux brought greetings from the Village of Forestburg. Graduate Lukas Strauss gave the Toast to the Staff, with a reply given by Caitlyn Prehn. Graduate Mauria Forster gave the Toast to the Parents, with her mom Barb Forster giving the reply.
Graduate Presley Brennan gave the Toast to the Students. Former Assistant Principal Coleman Miller returned as the night’s guest speaker. Forestburg Principal Mr. Calvin Anhorn also spoke to the graduating class. The public was then invited in for the grand march, where students took the stage one at a time to a mini-biography. The Class of 2025 watched a video compilation, then accepted their certificates and left the stage, where one or more parents were on hand to walk them off. After that the parent dance took place, followed by the friend dance. While there were just 12 graduates in this year’s class, the hall was full of friends and family cheering them on.
