“YOU DID IT!” 2021 Viking Grads Celebrate Patricia Harcourt Editor
“Congratulations! You did it!” That was the theme of this year’s Viking graduation. Twenty-three grads took to the stage on Friday, June 18, in a virtual ceremony including immediate families in the audience. Also present were Principal Adam Madsen, Vice-Principal Kelly Arial, and Mistress of Ceremonies Veronica Hafso Many others watched the event live streamed over social media to bear witness to this important passage in their lives. This was a unique year in many ways as the COVID-19 pandemic kept the community away from the formal celebrations. Also, students from the Holden area were part of the class for their final year of high school, transferring to Viking after the closure of Ryley School’s high school a year ago. Still, the school and grad families came together and gave the grads a warm sendoff, starting with MC Hafso, who said: “We’re very proud of all of See GRAD P3
