Canada Day Parade. Photos: Jana Semeniuk Bruderheim mayor Karl Hauch and Bruderheim mascot Brud the bear ride together in the Neighbourhood parade celebrating Canada Day. Hauch, the mascot and all town councillors, wore matching orange shirts during the parade emblazoned with a logo created by ten-year-old Kennedy Bruno from the Samson Cree Nation in Alberta. Bruno said in a statement The Kanata Shirt design was created to help unite indigenous and non-indigenous across Canada.
