Hydration is an essential part of fitness and wellbeing. Any dehydration is serious as it will take 24 to 36 hours to recover from the effects, and that’s considering that the fluids are replaced. Your body is 60-65% water, a 1% loss of water will begin to reduce your performance.

From 2% on the body will no longer be able to regulate heat and there will be a loss of strength and general endurance.

3% dehydration reduces muscular endurance and increases physical and mental fatigue. At greater than 6% dehydration can lead to extreme health issues and even death.
