Dear Diary, I went to the most beautiful island, Antigua, and stayed at the amazing Caribbean Holiday Apartment. Offering a variety of rooms catering for worldwide guests, I experienced a bit of the local culture by reserving the Mango Cottage, which represents a national fruit. It was only ten minutes away from the capital and some of the most beautiful and breath-taking beaches, so I could easily access them and the city via public transportation. Wow! It was just what I needed, a delightful experience with contemporary Caribbean flair.

Terracotta is a two bedroom, one bath house located at a convenient midpoint between Barbuda’s central village and its sprawling coastline. The house sits facing a rocky pond brimming with Barbuda’s wildlife. Horses, cattle, ducks and even the infamous Frigate Bird can all be sighted from the comfort of the porch that encompasses the greater perimeter of the house. Once inside, high open-beamed ceilings, combined with terracotta floors and large windows, ensure that the house is kept airy and cool throughout even the hottest months of the year.

Terracotta est une maison de deux chambres, avec une salle de bain située à un point stratégique, entre le village central de Barbuda et son littoral tentaculaire. La maison se trouve face à un étang rocheux débordant de la faune de Barbuda. Chevaux, bovins, canards et même la fameuse Frigate peuvent tous être aperçus dans le confort de la véranda qui entoure quasiment toute la maison.
